The bed, however, was pretty lumpy and not very comfortable, and the TV remote didn’t work, which was a little frustrating. On the bright side, the staff were super nice and helpful, and the continental breakfast was good with a nice selection. A few small improvements could make this a great stay.

The evening front desk chap patiently spent considerable time resorting the tv controls which had been scrambled by prior guest. The location is right off I 5 at freeway exit. The 5 rating is a stretch, but the property is quite clean and comfortable.

We’ve stayed there before without any problems but this past weekend was a disaster. The 1st room wound up with a water leak so we had to switch to another room. We got settled in only to find out the tv had had been locked out so we couldn’t watch tv. I felt we should have gotten some sort of discount. After talking to the manager from the Tumwater Best Western on Monday I was assured something would be done. I waited all week and never got a return call so I called corporate. Basically I was brushed off and was offered 3000 reward points which I refused because they claim their reward points program has been around forever. So I guess the other times I stayed there didn’t count. Really disappointed in Best Western and I won’t be staying there again.
