We stayed at the Best Western, St. Francisville, LA, on Fri., 17 Oct. and Sunday, 19 Oct., 2025. Rolanda, the desk clerk who initially made my reservation was rude and advised me she could only do one thing at a time when I asked a question while she was making the reservation. She simply could have said, "I can answer that question for you when I am through with your reservation." I called back to ask about the early check-in policy and again, she was rude, saying she could not make that decision. She could have just simply stated how I can use Best Western's policy to best obtain an early check-in at their particular site, POLITELY.
During our stay I requested a complete set of towels since there were not enough in the room. She did not greet me nor look at me when I made the request and when she handed me the towels it was as though I was bothering her. At another time, she was doing her nails and chatting on her cell phone (which she had on speakerphone) when my sister made another request of her, at the front desk. Her attitude was that we had disturbed her, again not greeting nor looking at her.
We observed another hotel guest approach the front desk, saying she had been injured on the elevator because "a piece of metal was sticking out". The clerk apologized but the guest was not offered assistance for her injury, nor asked to show staff where exactly the injury occurred.
The room was clean and comfortable, but hallway needs to be cleaned along the baseboards. Breakfast choices were good but the eggs were dry and tasteless. Hotel staff were making plates to go before breakfast had ended which left little for the guests.
