  Stayed at hotel there was someone else's left over food in the fridge the beds wer shot when you got on them they would sink to the floor . The bathroom door had a big curve spot cut out of it so it would clear the toilet when you shut it. And the breakfast was lacking and there was no place to sit like there use to be!

  Be advised: this hotel is listed as cat-friendly. I called to see how much the fee would be, as I have a old cat I can't leave home. I was quoted a fee and then told they did not allow cats. It's a good thing I asked questions and did not just take them on their word and show up. I would have nowhere to stay.

  My worst hotel stay ever. The only good thing was the friendly front desk clerk. I got to the hotel late after visiting Whiteface Mountain since I didn’t want to drive 4.5 hours home. Everything else was booked, so I paid $260 for one night in a pet-friendly room. I’ve never seen anything like it. The carpet was dirty with bits of plastic wrap everywhere. The armchair was gross and stained, and the coffee maker looked rotten. Super disgusting. The beds were okay, and the bathroom was just mediocre; you couldn’t shower without making a mess. I took my toddler to the pool, but it was freezing cold, even though it was supposed to be heated, and it smelled super strong of bleach. My husband asked the front desk about it, and she insisted it was heated. I called the front desk to complain about the room. They offered to switch my room or give me a different seat, but I turned it down since I was only there for one night. They also mentioned talking to the owners about a discount, but I haven’t heard anything back yet.

  I booked this room when everything else was way overpriced. I was nervous after reading reviews but it was great. Staff was friendly and hard working. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. It seemed recently remodeled (room 212), looked much better than online pics. Definitely recommend.

  We stayed Sept 19-20, 2025. Won't be back. The hotel staff were very pleasant. But....the hotel is too dated. Carpets are worn. Towels didn't match, other than the stains on them! Wall coverings peeling off. Paint peeling on door jams. Smell of ammonia was overpowering walking into the room. Bed was worn out. Just an old hotel holding on for dear life, but someone needs to invest some money into upgrades as this is right in Saranac Lake and I am sure the tourists would stay if it was better. Again, we won't book here again.
