  We have stayed here several times on trips/visits to SIU, never a major problem before, minor stuff like room hot, fridge didn’t work, but generally didn’t impact our stay. This time however, as soon as we opened the door the swarm of bugs scattered. We went back downstairs and showed the front desk the pictures of the bugs. Her reply, “oh, ok.” And then proceeded to hand me a room key for another room, directly across the hall. When I asked her how she knew there weren’t bugs in there she replied, “no, it’s okay.” Due to it being family weekend, we had no choice. I went across the street to Walmart and bought a can of raid and sprayed our room from top to bottom. To make matter worse, less than 5 minutes handing back the key we watched another guest walk into that room. Nothing was done to remedy the problem, they just passed the bugs on to someone else. This was always our “go to” for a slightly cheaper option when visiting SIU, but at $150/night, I’ll happily pay another place. We won’t be back.

  There is never anyone by the front desk. People keep calling hello hello there's nobody there We even called a hotel and hear the phone ringing and the guy still doesn't show up and it said everyday business. Breakfast, I'm the only one sitting here there's nobody else here there's no low-fat milk only a whole milk. Orange it tastes more like water than orange juice. Last night, there were some white stuff in the pool

  August 12th 2025 BEDBUG BEDBUG INFESTED. Mohammad Patel U should be ASHAMED of Yourself U R the Owner of this BEDBUG FEST HOTEL. Yes Yes we have Pictures from Room 200 that's in LIVE TIME CRAWLING all 3 different Beds We had to Throw awat our CLOTHES. My Family has to get out of bed ALL 3 BEDS HAD BEDBUG CRAWLING. We had to throw away. our clothes that we were sleeping in. The Indian lady and man did even want to look at the Pictures of the BEDBUGS CRAWLING. As we were in the lobby leaving. A African American family came in and the lady and man behind the Desk were telling them that there no room but a room is available now (Rm 200). Also as we were leaving another family were leaving BEDBUGs in there Room too. Mohammad Patel U Know and Knew this HOTEL IS INFESTED WITH BEDBUGS. THIS BEST WESTERN SALUKI INN IS ALL OVER HOTEL REVIEW. CLOSE IT DOWN . nice room with the 3 beds.

  Beds were a lil stiff for my liking but they had a full breakfast, coffee, creamers, and juice! For it being next to a bar it was pretty quiet in the room. Only bad thing was my laptop did not like the wifi. Its a work laptop so i had to use my mobile hotspot to work while there.

  BED BUGS & HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! This was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. My family and I checked into the Best Western expecting at least a clean, comfortable stay instead, we were met with BED BUGS. In not 1, 2, but 3 of the queen beds in our suite! ALL THREE When I brought this to the attention of the front desk clerk, Shashly, she didn’t apologize or show any concern. In fact, she made me feel like I was lying by saying, “I’ve never heard that before.” Despite me showing her videos and pictures and even asked to take her upstairs to show her. After looking at the reviews I noticed just weeks ago someone mentioning the exact same issue. Instead of offering us a new room or making any real accommodations, she actually asked if I wanted new sheets for each bed… as if that would somehow solve a bed bug infestation. What a joke. The only person who offered even a basic apology was a man named AJ, who wasn’t even in uniform, just wearing a Nike shirt. I assume he works there, but either way, it’s ridiculous that the only acknowledgment of the situation came from him. We ended up having to pack up all of our belongings at 1:00 AM and check out in the middle of the night, scrambling to find another hotel for me, my family, and my elderly grandmother. This was stressful, unsanitary, and completely unacceptable. If you value cleanliness, honesty, and basic hospitality avoid this place at all costs. I will never stay at a Best Western again after this experience.
