  Very nice hotel, I stopped over as I was driving through. Rooms were great and very comfortable, I booked a standard queen and maybe got a secret upgrade cause the room was excellent. Doesn't have the amenities of a 5 star hotel as in bar/restaurant on site etc, however it felt like I was at one. Only stayed a night and I will return next time I drive through again.

  I have stayed at the Great Northern many times and it never disappoints! They have lovely rooms where we can have our dog, an a outstanding breakfast, and the lobby is unraveled. Sitting by the fire, listening to classical music and drinking coffee was the perfect way to start the day.

  For one of the priciest places to stay in Helena nothing really stood out. No bar or full restaurant on premises. They do serve the typical motel breakfast fare until 10am. Parking limited and an inconvenience. Staff seemed genuinely friendly and wanted to please although when I inquired about checking in about 1.5 hours early I was told there would be a $20 fee which I declined upon which the lady behind the front desk said "Well bless your heart". Aside from that experience, the best part of my stay was the attentive staff.

  Here for a conference. Parking lot for conference goers is TINY and they refused to issue a pass for other lots. Meh.

  Beautiful hotel downtown. Little tricky to get to. One-way streets and government building area.
