  The restaurant is a Denny’s. The bar is a tacky counter in the corner of the foyer. We couldn’t get the tv’s as in 2 in the same room (🤭) to work, and we got help and found out guide is channel 16 so hitting guide on the remote does not work and they are not smart tv’s and have limited channels. And, the water is barely hot and you have to run the water for a long time to get whatever heat is there. This place is not anywhere close to 4 stars and it’s on the edge of town with nothing to walk to. Avoid.

  Excellent Stay with Exceptional Service – A Top Recommendation! I recently completed a week-long stay at the Best Western in Medicine Hat, Alberta, and it was truly a fantastic experience from start to finish. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. While the hotel itself is great—clean, comfortable rooms, and convenient amenities—what made my stay truly exceptional was the level of customer service, specifically from Myra at the front desk. Myra is a stellar example of what great hospitality should look like. She went above and beyond on multiple occasions throughout my week here. Whether it was offering helpful local recommendations, addressing a minor request promptly and with a cheerful attitude, or simply offering a warm and welcoming greeting every time I walked by, her professionalism and genuine kindness made a real difference. It's clear she takes pride in her work and genuinely cares about the guests' comfort. Thank you, Myra, for your wonderful service! Management at this Best Western should recognize her for her outstanding dedication to customer satisfaction. I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Medicine Hat.

  This was one of the best hotels for the price that you pay for this era. You get dark out blinds, quiet air conditioners. Great free breakfast with the option of a omelette if you want, Free bottles of water when ever you want and free fruit when ever you want. And a to go bag in the morning even if you ate the free breakfast. Wow, I have stayed at a lot Of hotels and way over payed for just about all of them and no were near the great service and friendly and accepting people, and this one is priced right, and they want your business. I have stayed at no So many hotels and they all can learn from this one. Awesome Place. They will have my business always.

  Every aspect (rooms, service, food, location) was excellent. Special recognition to staff member Deven. At breakfast on September 21, 2025, we were seated close to the front desk area and I noticed a piece of white scrap paper that had landed on a dark carpet. Many staff walked over and around it, but it was Deven who had the initiative to stop, pick it up and put it in the garbage. I interpret Deven's actions to mean he enjoys his job and takes pride in working at this hotel. That's enough for us to return and support this hotel next time we are in Medicine Hat. Also, thank you to the friendly front desk staff for retrieving medication that we accidentally left in our fridge. I've now made a reminder card when we unpack so that doesn't happen again.
