  Alicia, the Desk Check in Attendent was Amazing!!! It was late when we arrived, she greeted us with her award winning smile! She was very courteous, knowledgeable and had a great personality! She explained all the amenities and directed us to our room with special instructions to let us know we can drive right up to our door! We loved that option!!! She deserves a raise for her kindness and diligence to her job!! Also the housekeeping was Amazing. In the last 14 years, I've travelled out West, and up and down the East Coast and our room was the most immaculate ever! We didn't find one strand of hair, one piece of lint that was out of place! I was compelled to leave a generous tip with a note, telling them as much! Also I am so glad that President Donald J Trump passed the no taxes on tips, because it is for the hard working people, such as your housekeeping staff that deserve it! I felt my tip went a long way!!!! I would definately reccomend this hotel to anyone traveling in the area based on our experience!!

  1st room given didn't lock and the toilet flapper was broken. Noticed the next morning. They moved us and gave a small credit for the inconvenience. Breakfast was ok. My bulldog enjoyed the sausage links. The beds in both rooms were hard on my back. I woke up extremely stiff in my lower back both nights. Second day was worse. Great location to the water. It was nice not having to pay a fee for our dog. Both rooms were overall pretty clean. First room they put us in smelled like mildew. Bulldog was the happiest out of the group. Don't think we will stay again due to the uncomfortable beds.

  Nice location, close to the main strip of Port Clinton, and right across the street from Jolly Roger's (you HAVE to get a perch or walleye sandwich when you're here - fresh from lake Erie) The room was clean and the service was great. The breakfast was simple and there's no indoor pool or anything, but it's worth the price

  I don't like to give negative reviews, but I was totally disappointed with this hotel. First of all, I used my hard earned credit card reward points to give my sisters and I a mini vacay at no cost to them. I know I shouldn't complain since it was 'free', but there are standards. There were 4 of us in a room with 2 double beds. Each bed had 3 pillows. We asked for 2 extra pillows so each of us could have 2, clerk said there were no extras, people kept stealing them. Asked if the room next to us was available just to give us more room (adjoining) she said they were booked up. Mind you we never seen a whole lot of cars in the parking lot the whole time we were there. (So seriously, go get a couple of pillows from other rooms). The door to our room was very hard to open, but you had to make sure and push shut or it wouldn't latch. The biggest complaint is the carpet. It was filthy. At first we were making fun of one of my sisters about her feet, how dirty they looked, thinking it was due to a new pair of dark brown flip-flops she had. But I wear socks at night with my pj's and the bottom of my socks proved it wasn't her flip-flops. Do better BW!

  Stayed here for a few days for a business meeting in Port Clinton. While it wasn’t the best, it certainly wasn’t the worst stay we’ve had in Port Clinton (see my other reviews). Check in was easy and the front desk gal was very kind. The room was clean- however- by the 3rd morning, the room was so humid, all of my pills were actually stuck together in my travel case. It was super odd as we had the AC running most of the time, and in theory, AC units work primarily by removing excess humidity from the air. So while not egregious, just something of note. We had a room with two beds, which my husband and I slept in together all of the nights. But on the second night, I decided to spread out my work and take over the other bed, which unfortunately had dog hair all in between the duvet(?) bed cover(?) and the top blanket! Which was obviously gross and led us to wonder what was and wasn’t clean in the room. As we were sleeping in the other bed, and it was our last night, I did not make a fuss about it to the staff. But it should be noted- The breakfast was of good quality and had many options. Coffee was available all day, which was great. No issues there. We did not use the pool, so cannot speak on that. The hotel is walkable to many restaurants and has a peek-a-boo view of the lake across the street. All in all we may stay again, but I would definitely inspect the beds before unloading our luggage.
