  BED BUGS!!! RUN!!! Went into the hotel smells like mold debris everywhere from some renovations. Got to our room extremely sketchy and immediately welcomed by BED BUGS EVERYWHERE. Got out of there as fast as possible. DO NOT STAY HERE.

  Staff is very friendly. Very dated. Carpeting was dirty, odd, smelling. The elevator was filthy floor lots of dirt and dust on carpeting in all areas back doors to the patio wouldn't be secure. Patio was delapaded and full of cigarettes. Wouldn't recommend this place at all.

  Extremely Unprofessional Experience at Best Western Sanford Airport/Lake Mary My wife and I had a terrible check-in experience at this location. We had just arrived from Indiana, excited to celebrate my wife’s 40th birthday, when the front desk clerk decided to inject herself into a private conversation between us. She suddenly accused me of “disrespecting” my wife — completely unprovoked. I calmly said, “Ma’am, I’m talking to my wife of 17 years.” Instead of de-escalating, the clerk became confrontational, threatening to kick us out and keep our money if I didn’t apologize to her (the clerk). Trying not to let this ruin my wife’s birthday trip, I humbled myself and attempted to apologize, even though I had done nothing wrong. She then interupted saying she was ex-military and “would not be disrespected by a civilian,” again threatening to remove us if I spoke further. To make matters worse, as we walked away, she began talking about us to another guest, saying, “Yeah, he better get out of my workspace.” We were humiliated in front of strangers. As educators and professionals, we’ve never been treated so poorly by a hotel employee. This completely ruined the start of what was supposed to be a special trip. We skipped dinner just to avoid going back near the lobby. The behavior we experienced was unprofessional, disrespectful, and unacceptable for a brand like Best Western. I truly hope corporate leadership reviews this incident and takes proper action so no other guests have to go through what we did.

  Great location so close to the Sanford airport!! My friend had a 6:10 flight so he had to be at the airport around 4:10. We left at 4:04, I got him there and was back in bed by 4:24!! The hotel was clean and the staff were very nice and accommodating!! Plenty of parking with a well lighted parking lot. I'll definitely stay there again!

  Pros: -Free shuttle to the airport -nice lobby -Free breakfast -TV with plenty of options, including streaming services -accepts cash -plenty of food options nearby -cheap-ish -plenty of charging ports -has a mini fridge and microwave in the room -bed looks clean and is comfy Cons: -hotel definitely focuses more on cleaning the lobby than the rooms themselves -towels were dirty on arrival (hair, stains) -faucet barely hanging onto the wall -shower temperature swings from one extreme to another -walls are so thin that you can hear people from a couple rooms down -some surfaces were not fully cleaned -floor wasn't swept -hair dryer full of dust bunnies -pillow cases feel greasy Summary: seems fine for a night, but not more than that
