This is our Home Away from Home. Eddy Chau and his staff are efficient, warm,no request goes without attention and assistance. The location is the best in the city for enjoying beach sunsets, Stanley Park and all the restaurants. The Park Sports bar is a great spot to watch games, participate in karaoke, hear live music znd challenge your team on Trivia night. Breakfasts are outstanding as is Happy Hour at the Bayside Lounge.

I recently spent 6 nights at the Best Western Plus Sands Hotel, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! The location is unbeatable - just a 1-minute walk to the beach, a short stroll to Stanley Park and the Seawall, and surrounded by numerous restaurants. The AquaBus to Granville Island is also within walking distance. The room was well-equipped with an iron, microwave, fridge, and coffee maker, making it feel like a home away from home. Note that the hotel requires a $150 CAD security deposit, which is refundable if you don't damage anything. The only con was the noise level, given the hotel's downtown location. Traffic sounds and late-night chatter were noticeable, but I expected that. To combat the noise, I'd recommend bringing noise-cancelling earbuds or headphones if you're a light sleeper. Overall, the hotel's pros far outweigh the cons. I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient, comfortable, and centrally located spot to stay in Vancouver.

The location is great with very accessible bus connections for downtown and the airport, plus it's close to lots of Westend restaurants . But even so, I would not stay here again. The rooms are just OK (decent shower although there were some tiny ants in the floor tile grout, and the room furnishings pretty threadbare), elevator service is slow, and the front counter staff are downright surly. They have an annoying habit of charging your cc prior to arrival - something i really object to. All things considered, I will stay with .y usual go,tos: the Blue Horizon and the Century Plaxa where the staff and policies are friendlier.
