  I really recommend if u are staying in Portland Tx don't go no where else.. But here because I did that lol ... tell we came here the people treat u like family go beyond their job to treat u and family with there kind service we where so blessed that God send us here and the Rooms where super clean & breakfast taste so good ...My kids where like mom doesn't taste fake like the other motels lol they where not they were not lying either 🤦‍♀️🤣🙏💓thank u supervisor Lucinda For treating us with kindness, knowing what situation we were in, you treat us like. If we were at our own home We will never forget u♥️

  Stayed at this property for a few days. The front dest staff is very helpful and understanding the rooms were clean and up to date , but that's where it ends!! The first day of my stay, the breakfast was awful cold empty food trays, I asked to have my room cleaned and towels changed was not done asked again and was told it was done but wasn't according to front desk the cleaning people marked it was done but wasn't couldn't get a clear answer because the cleaning person didnot speaking English. When I did receive new towels, they were stained!!! Once checked out, I did not receive my receipt by email. I tried to contact the manager , Mr K to complain about my stay left messages no answer says it all about the hotel!! The hotel was still under construction and there were only 4 tables to eat the awful breakfast.

  So just be aware that this hotel is under renovations. We were not aware of when booking. I think it should be mentioned in don't think it would hurt anything. At least we would know what to expect. The Staff was AWESOME. We loved Quinn. He made the check in process less stressful for us. We checked in late due to Corpus Christi Hooks ran late but we called really late to let them know we were still coming and when we got there past 10pm, there was a note. We were placed on the 2nd floor. And oh yeah, they were renovating alright. No carpets, just very dusty cement floors, it stunk right when we stepped out of elevator doors. It was bad, I really thought it was a dead rat up there due to smell. I had to put my nose under my shirt to get to elevator each time. But I think it was the trash. There is a trashcan right in front of elevators. There was a closed bag of trash nicely placed on side of can but still very distasteful. I think when renovations are done, I wouldn't place a trashcan there, too inviting to place trash as going out. I'm sure its meant well but yeah, the trash should remain in room until housekeepers come in to get. Although our walk to room may not have been pleasant, the room was beautiful. The 2 queen beds were very comfortable and the room was very clean and comfortable including the temperature. Now I am use to walking barefooted in room but this time couldn't due to cement dust tracked back to room under our shoes. So after shower had to put slippers because your feet would get dirty again. But the location of this hotel from Corpus is perfect if going to the Hooks game or honestly anywhere in Corpus especially now leads you directly to the new bridge. Then to the left of the hotel Port Aransas is about 20 min. away. They do provide full breakfast and the breakfast lady is so nice and accommodating. They had run out of the cranberry juice and no regular orange juice was available but other than that you have your choice of waffles, eggs, bagels, toast, oatmeal, yogurts and coffee. Our room did include a refrigerator to keep our drinks cold. There is also a pool right outside of entrance and towel rack as well. Also a gym. When we reported the smell and trash to Quinn, he took care of it by alerting housekeeping as they were checking in. When we came back, smelled like fresh laundry as also as step out of elevators there is a washer/dryer free access available. This location really close by HEB, Walmart and Target. Again I use to stay here years ago, and it was as I remembered it. Good memories with my children back then. I think just bearing with them as they get through renovations is the key.

  Location was easy enough to get to although once you exit highway you have to move over to the right lane quickly to enter the hotel entrance. Recommend using the exit before the directions exit. Service was fast & easy although you have to tap a bell to get someone to come to the front desk. Room was spacious and bed was quite comfortable. My room was missing the little post for the security flip lock on the door. That made me a little nervous. Missed the free breakfast & pool.
