- JMJoe MathewsOct 26, 20255.0We stayed here for 3 nights, October 2025, and were impressed by the friendly, helpful staff members, especially Mr. Mehul Patel. The breakfast buffet, served from 6:30 am to 9:30 am, was very good, and the fitness center was well-equipped. The interior decoration in the lobby, hallways, and stairwells has a traditional, elegant charm. There’s even a reading nook on the second floor with a bookshelf stocked with games and interesting books.

All the staff was very friendly. Bonus: big dog treats given to our dog at check in! Will definitely return.

- MWmarguerite wachunasOct 12, 20255.0This was a surprise hotel experience. We booked the hotel because we were in town for a wedding. The front desk person was so helpful. We were able to get into our room early with no extra charge. The room and little touches like a dim light at nite by the bathroom, a non-slip shower floor and a grab bar, were unexpected. The breakfast room was set up like a restaurant with round table and flowers. The staff person in that area was attentive and helpful. He told us that this building had originally been President Garfield's tack house. It was a charming place and I would happily return if we were in the area.
- JJJSep 30, 20255.0This place is awesome. Ignore the reviews saying it’s “outdated” - It is clearly a historic building, and it looks exactly as it should! The breakfast was really good, lots of hot food options. I always hate when hotels say there’s breakfast and then you go down there and it’s just cereal, bagels, etc. Not this place! They had it all. They even had a guy walking around collecting people’s used plates like they do at buffet restaurants. I’ve NEVER seen that kind of service at any hotel, you usually have to put things away yourself. Anyway, me and my husband go from upstate NY to Detroit a lot and we like to stop midway. So this will definitely be our go to hotel on those trips!
