I do not recommend this hotel and will not be staying here in the future. I go to a few Chiefs games a year and chose to stay here because it was decently priced and only a mile from the Casino in KS. Getting there, there was limited parking due to a game at the complex across the street, no big deal. But there was no access allowed to any guests through the rear entrance doors. So even after checking in you had to walk around the entire building to get in. The room was clean, but very weirdly placed with the bed facing the window and the TV on the left hand side wall that you would expect to be in front of the bed. The bathroom was incredibly small compared to the way the pictures make it look. There was no ice machines on the third or second floor and we were on the third so coming back around 2 am in the morning and having to search for an ice machine only to find out it was all the way to the first floor and barely working. The final straw was getting stuck in the elevator. Apparently other guests had experienced issues the night before and that morning, but there was no warning sign to use to the stairs or maintenance being done on them. So leaving for the game Sunday morning and then being stuck in the elevator for over 20 minutes with other people, getting hotter by the minute and frankly with the inner doors being opened but the outer doors stuck shut, it seemed quite dangerous and we couldn't pry the doors open ourselves. Finally, another customer there hit the button on the outside enough times and it seemed to reset, but when hitting he help button the front desk simply said they would "reset" it as if there was some magic switch that would fix it. All of these things may seem small but when adding them up for a $250 room charge, I was very unimpressed. There is another hotel up the street from that best western that I will be staying at in the future.

Stayed overnight on a road trip and had a great experience. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. The pool was closed as other reviews have mentioned, but was not planning on using it anyway. The hotel lobby and room were very clean and seems to be well maintained. Had no issued with the elevator.

0 out of 5 stars We checked in and at first everything seemed fine. Later, I went out to my car with no issues. But when I tried to get back into the hotel through the back entrance using my key card—something I’ve done plenty of times before—the door wouldn’t open. I walked to the other side of the building and tried another back door, and that one also wouldn’t open. I called the Best Western front desk, and the man who answered told me that guests cannot re-enter through the back doors at all and must walk around to the front every time. He said it was “for security purposes,” even though the sign on the back door clearly states that guests need a key card to re-enter. This is extremely frustrating and misleading. If the back doors are not meant to be used for guest entry, then the signage should not say otherwise.

I was very pleasantly surprised at just how nice of a Best Western this was. The room was roomy. I like that there is a microwave and refrigerator in the room. The coffee maker in the room uses the K-Cups. The pool was not available during our stay but that was not important to me. There's lots nearby. It may not be in walking distance but it's still very close.

I cannot rate this hotel, I would definitely AVOID it. Only reason I put 1 star is that you had to select to post the review. We were very unhappy with the customer service, room, and horrible smell of the whole hotel which smelled of mildew and sewage that they tried to take out by spraying daily. We could not get the room we asked for, even though we requested room 8 months in advance. We stayed for 4 days and did not get room service to replenish towels or anything. The staff at the desk had no idea of the surroundings of the hotel. Taking a shower was miserable because they did not have hot water - water was "luke" warm if that. I honestly have no positive words for this experience.
