Room should be overviewing the marina. Reality is, you are looking at the corner wall of the building and the parking lot, and a tiny stripe of the marina if you lean above the edge of the balcony.
Terrible smell. The whole room smelled like sweat and urine, we needed to air it several times to get the smell out for the 2 nights stay.
There was a cherry pit lying on the floor upon arrival. We only stayed in the room bc we read some worse stories about rooms with no noise isolation. The hotel is very old, dirty and not recommendable! Nothing to do with online photos. We didn't make a note out of it in person as we didn't want to ruin our holiday feeling, and the personnel didn't seem bothered to do anything anyways. None of the complementary services were explained to us (such as bicycle rental). If this is your hotel, change it immediately!
We just stayed here one night before flying out. So much nicer than any of the "airport hotels" we've stayed at before. Beautiful views, quiet, clean, and modernized. Coffee in the morning was a nice touch. Parking across the street was free and easy. Just be aware that breakfast is not included, unlike most Best Westerns, but great price for the views!

Room was okay. Nothing great. Floor should have been vacuumed before I checked in. Not done entire 3 day stay. Check out was at 11am. I asked for 30 minute extension and was rudely denied. Front desk girls very unpleasant and unprofessional when I did check out. Didn’t ask about my stay, never looked me in the eye and not even a smile when checking out. Would not stay here again because of that.

Paid for a room with a view of San Diego Bay for 3 nights... Check-in on a Monday, when many guests left, and they shoved us in a corner room with a tiny balcony jammed in a corner of the building (room 509) that has a patio barely wide enough to seat 2 people, with an adjacent balcony literally 3 feet away from the neighbors staring at us and tiny view. Moved to a different room on yacht basin side, and the TV didn't work. The lamp on the desk has only outlets for European type plugs and no US plugs. Instead of going out to dinner and enjoying the few hours we have here...we now have to wait around for a flunky to fix the TV set. Desk chair's back has no way to tighten the angle, so when you sit to work at desk, it falls backwards nearly completely flat. Video taping this "be up to fix the TV in a few minutes"... 30 minutes, no show. Should I get more angry and leave for dinner? or just wait for the TV to be fixed..? So later tonight, we have no TV... No, I had to climb behind the TV and swamp HDMI cables that were in the wrong slots. Maybe I can charge Best Western my "prevailing wage" rates of 50 bucks an hour and 4 hour minimum.
I wanted to add this last piece of hospitality. On the balcony of the new room (532), we found a nasty pair of women's underwear on the patio deck.(see attached photo)
And far be it for me to merely complain. Constructive criticism: Create a simple checklist for the maid service or inspectors to sign-off on after each turnover. Checklist items might be... Does the TV work? Do all the lights work. Check behind and under furniture for surprises. And each attendant can sign their name to the checklist. Simple and might make the high cost of the room almost worth it.
