I'm a BW Diamond member. We have stayed at The Hood River Best Western many, many times over the years travelling between NE Oregon and Western Oregon. Sadly they have priced themselves out of our consideration. $250+ for a room is outrageous. We will have to look elsewhere in Hood River.

Pick your weekends carefully. If there is any other event or thing happening in the event center the parking is a nightmare. The hotel does nothing to prioritize paying tenants who just want to park, unload, have dinner and sleep. You will spend what seems like hours looking for a spot, and probably end up parking at a nearby business and hiking back and forth.

Room was great! Front desk was helpful. Only downside was that the pool was closed and the gym area for a little bit as well.

We stayed here for two nights with our small dog. The property has a great dog friendly setting with rooms available with sliding glass doors to access the riverside grass area and walking path. We went in October and could enjoy the heated outdoor pool and hot tub... The noise level of the highway day and night are definitely unavoidable in the hot tub but it didn't stop us from enjoying the amenities. The refrigerator in our room was set to the highest cool level and froze our foods so make sure to check that. Nice location for easy access to town and highway. The lounge and on-site restaurant were great.

For the price per night, I just expected more. The room was dull, the mattress sunk in a little, the AC had to constantly be reset because it kept turning off and the room would get warm/stuffy. The pool was closed upon our arrival, which was disappointing. We were given a $10 off coupon for the restaurant, but the food options were not appealing to 3 out of 4 in our party. Parking was not ideal either. Overall, it was an okay hotel, it was in a safe location, and easily accessible.
