If I could go lower than 1 star I would have. My flight from NY was cancelled and I immediately called them to let them know. Was told to call Booking.com. Called Booking.com and they understood the situation. When Booking.com emailed the hotel, the hotel denied our refund because we did not cancel 24 hours in advance. Even just getting half of my money back would have made me happy but Best Western decided they needed the money more. I will not be booking anything at Best Western again.

Do yourself a favor, let these ‘actual’ pictures inform your decision. No point leaving a detailed review to get a passive pseudo-positive response from a manager/owner who probably cares only about profit.

BEWARE: WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
Rooms 0/5: Over 3 nights, 2 days, we were in 3 different rooms, each with problems.
First room had not been cleaned, eye lashes stuck to bathroom counter and carpet. Vacuuming did not seem done. Room smelled like cheap beer. Immediately moved to second room after checking in. Called previously for a crib before arrival. No crib in room and front desk did not even know they had them.
Second room: Broken toilet paper roll holder hanging out of wall. Lizard on ceiling when we walked in. Shower leaked out of stand-in area and flooded bathroom floor. Bedding was damp due to humidity and dehumidifier was not properly working. After being gone for first day, housekeeping did not clean properly. Ants invaded and covered floor near trashcan and in two of our bags. I spent over an hour cleaning bags and killing ants after being moved to third room.
Third room: Smelled similar to first room. Room was less humid but not overly comfortable. Toilet leaked out of base when flushing, flooding bathroom. Shower curtain was broken or not properly installed so curtain did not stay closed during showering. Refrigerator was broken so we had to toss out leftovers and use ice bucket to keep toddler milk cold. Cockroach found in bathroom.
Service: 1/5: Housekeeping was awful. As stated above, rooms smelled and weren’t cleaned properly leading to uncomfortable stay and pests infesting our luggage and space. Only good thing was continental breakfast. Newton was the only helpful front desk person. Co-worker brought in stray cats to roam interior location. GM demanded we meet half-way for refund and invalidated experience compared to bot or employee reviews.
Location: 1/5. Location was near where family we were meeting and there are food options available near. There is a strip club right next door which I did not know when booking and would not have selected this hotel had I due diligently looked at location. Not safe for toddlers.
Overall: Worst experience I’ve ever had. Do not believe the 5-star reviews. Mold in every room we stayed in. Housekeeping does not do their job properly. This is NOT immmaculate or safe. I’ve stayed at a lot of high-end hotels and worked for the Ritz Carlton. This is a private franchise hiding behind the Best Western name while offering the Worst experience.
GM Juan did not follow through with refund and now waiting on Expedia to take control of the matter and get my refund.

Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist bei diesem Hotel einigermaßen OK. Die Zimmer sind relativ groß und mit Mikrowelle, Kaffeemaschine, Flachbildschirm und Kühlschrank ausgestattet. Leider roch es in unserem Zimmer recht unangenehm, was wir aber hinnahmen. Das Frühstück war gut und reichhaltig. Negativ zu bemerken ist, dass der Pool häufig wegen Reinigung geschlossen war, obwohl nicht erkennbar war, dass dort Reinigungsarbeiten stattfanden. Weiterhin haben an jedem neuen Tag im Hotel unsere Zimmerkarten nicht mehr funktioniert, so dass wir mit unseren ganzen Sachen vor dem Zimmer standen und nicht reinkamen. Wir mussten an beiden Tagen nochmals zur Rezeption und die Schlüssel neu freischalten lassen. Das ging leider mehreren Gästen so. Am ersten Tag wurde bei uns gereinigt, am zweiten Tag leider nicht, so dass wir die Kaffeemaschine mangels Kapseln nicht mehr nutzen konnten und die Mülleimer überfüllt waren. Der Standort des Hotels ist ja sehr subjektiv. Ich würde Hollandale Beach kein zweites Mal ansteuern, weil es hier aus meiner Sicht nichts gibt, was attraktiv wäre. Dafür kann das Hotel natürlich nichts.

Will serve other customers of Spanish decent infront of you, after you have patiently waited to check in behind others. His exact words were
( This will be fast, let me take care of this lady please ) while my daughter needed to use the bathroom very badly and almost wet herself . I did not appreciate that, and I made sure I told him so…. Maybe it’s a Spanish thing. I hope management makes sure things like that do not happen anymore
