As I travel for work, I often leave silly requests for hotels to fulfill that often brighten my day. This Best Western has gone above and beyond for my expectations. I requested they share their favourite Taylor Swift song with me, expecting a brief note in my room. A member of their front desk staff, Sav, decorated my entire room with lyrics from every Taylor Swift album, left a kind note with their favourite song, made me a friendship bracelet, and left me a colouring sheet of Taylor Swift. The gesture made my entire week (a long week of travel for work).
Really disappointed with this hotel stayed here for a week for work and the rooms are outdated, dirty carpets that smell of urine and cigarette smoke. You'd think with a big name like Best Western the quality would be better. The walls are paper thin and everything seems like it's falling apart. Complimentary breakfast was basic and always the same. There's tour groups there every night that take up the whole dinning area at 6-8am so you'll have nowhere to eat your breakfast. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Needs work.
Really disappointed in this hotel. My room had an AC unit that was so loud and wouldn’t stop. Staff did call maintenance and get them there quickly, who swapped out the unit, but it was not done until 8pm and the loudness of the unit persisted all night even after repairs. I had meetings early in the morning and needed to get to sleep. I was offered maintenance again, but wasn’t confident the issue would be fixed and didn’t want to be up late. I asked to cancel my reservation and leave, they wouldn’t let me unless I paid for the night. I was assured by staff that management would do something in the morning. I didn’t sleep regardless, the unit was loud into the night and I couldn’t turn it off. In the morning, they agreed to cancel my next two nights so I could switch hotels as they were sold out, but refused to do anything about the horrible night I spent there. The manager Val blamed me for not wanting maintenance there again late at night, stated that she didn’t even listen to the unit herself but maintenance said it wasn’t an issue so implied I was wrong and said I was choosing to leave because I could’ve kept staying with the loud unit. She did offer a gift card for the same hotel, but that’s the last thing I would want after the experience. Really not great customer service - not even apologetic. The people there at night tried their best, but dealing with the manager was awful.

This hotel was fabulous. Clean, comfortable and friendly. Thank you for providing a great rest after two weeks of travelling abroad. We will definitely provide great referrals and will return here if and when we're back in Fredericton.

We unexpectedly had a stop over in Fredericton after a drunk driver hit us on the highway. Fortunately, neither my husband or I were injured but our vehicle was a right off. We spent 3 nights at the hotel while we waited for a rental vehicle to become available so that we could return home to Ontario. Staff graciously let us stay a couple hours past check out time while we picked up the rental. They helped make a difficult situation a bit easier and we really appreciated our stay.
