If I could give 0 stars, I would. In fact that would be generous.
I brought my mother to the area for a medical procedure and needed a quiet, clean, hotel for her to recover in. Sadly, this was neither and our attempt at check-in began the worst experience I have ever had with a business, let alone a hotel.
Falsely advertised, gross, and poorly maintained.
The "suite" is not that, it is instead an adjoining room with no shared common spaces - both rooms of which are dark, dirty, and dingy. The staff was very kind and recognized that I was correct in that the room was misrepresented and moved me to a new room with common area...well a chair and table.
The new room unfortunately was dark, smelled weird, and had both dried boogers on the wall and mold in the shower. The ceiling fan, which l've never seen in a hotel room, was really dusty and dirty and made a weird sound. The corridors were very dark and appeared that the lights did not function in them, and all were bit sketchy as well, the stairwell was filthy and the elevator did not seem to be in the best condition.
The surrounding area was also not the best - with people who appeared to be under the influence of drugs nearby, exhibiting very concerning behavior. As two women traveling alone safety is a concern. Also a first, I was told to keep the room key away from my phone and debit cards as it would stop working.
I was unable to complete our stay there and promptly booked another hotel elsewhere prior to unpacking.
I was told I would receive a refund, and have yet to be refunded the refundable deposit and late checkout fee THAT WE PAID FOR IN ADVANCE as well. I called and asked to speak to a manager who never returned my call. I have called daily since and each day, I am promised a call back or told that the manager is not in.
I was last told that Expedia could not convince the property to refund me either as the property is now LYING to them and stating that I used my reservation because I was charged a late check-out fee. They charged me this at check-in because I requested the late check-out in advance so my mother could recover from her procedure. That is theft!
I have involved my attorney and am patiently awaiting a call back from the manager. Expedia will be investigating this property as well as they have received countless complaints.
The only positive thing was that the guy behind the front desk was very kind and did his best with what he was working with - I hope he seeks employment elsewhere.
I will contact this property daily and continue to warn other travelers of this horrible experience until I am refunded and will be seeking legal action as well.
Avoid this place at all costs.
