I stayed at the Best Western Plus Daytona this past weekend and overall it was acceptable budget friendly option. The hotel is taken care of decently well. You can tell the rooms have been renovated at some point but honestly, they could use another round of updates. That said, I totally get how tough it must be to keep coastal hotels in top shape with the constant water and salt air issues. I booked a king ocean front and the room was clean, Bed was comfy, but the view was definitely the highlight. The front desk seems to run with just one staff member at a time, but the person I interacted with was friendly and provided good service which made a difference. The breakfast area is on the smaller side, but it did the job. They had the basic covered which were eggs, breakfast meat, bread or bagel, cereal, pancakes, juice, coffee, and yogurt. Nothing fancy, but it was nice to have those option included. Parking is currently $8 per day which I thought was very reasonable compared to some of the other hotels nearby that charge more. Now, some people will complain since it’s technically a two star hotel. Well dammit,if you’re looking for red carpet treatment, then don’t book at this hotel. Spend the money and stay somewhere upscale if that’s what you need because, for what it is, this hotel does the job and gives a good value for the location.
