I'm pleasantly pleased with my stay at Best Western Plus Bridgeport. Sure, there are a few quirks because it's an older hotel. But this place was clean and quiet, plenty of parking, and the staff was fantastic from the front desk to housekeeping to the breakfast buffet staff. Check in was fast and easy, our room was clean and the Heating/AC unit was one of the best I've used in a hotel. It kept our room at a constant comfortable temperature - and we used both heat AND A/C!! Plenty of storage and a nice-sized fridge made for a really comfortable stay. Lodgeville Road can get a bit backed up during the day so trying to turn left from the parking lot can be difficult during business hours. Other than that I would highly recommend this hotel, and we will be staying here again.

I stopped at this location right before midnight on 10/16 during a vacation trip. Coming in after a long drive and hotels in Beckley booked up.The gentleman working the desk was kind and informative. He gave my dog a treat and told me what I needed to know about the area. My room was clean and stocked. The next morning the lady working the front desk greeted me with a smile and was genuinely kind. The hotel may be older but it was clean and the staff were beyond kind . They deserve to be recognized. A much appreciative guest, JD

I stay here often for work and it's a nice hotel for the price and location. The staff from the front desk to the housekeepers and maintenance are always friendly and accomidating. I've only had 2 issues ever with a room and it was minor and was corrected immediately. I will continue to stay here when I'm in Bridgeport.

Consider other lodging options before staying at this Best Western! The front of the hotel has a nice and clear visual appearance meant to trick potential lodgers but drive around back where many of the hallway entrances are and you'll see the truth. To simply put it it was run down and clearly lacked maintenance. DANK!! The rooms on the first floor have a stale cigarette smell to them. The second floor is no better. It's clearly near a kitchen or food prep area that also smells unpleasant. The late afternoon/evening young male employee at the desk, although pleasant, had no knowledge on any of the hotel policies nor could copy information from a driver's license properly resulting in misspellings on the hotel room rental agreement. Dealings with the front desk staff in the early AM including the general manager, Connie, was also unpleasant as they were very argumentative and defended the hotel as if they built it with their own two hands. Stay away! Spend the extra $30 more to stay at the nearby Hampton Inn.
