Every time we come to San Diego we choose this place, is less expensive than most of the hotels here, of course, it's the Downtown. The parking is small but at least they have one, no elevator for the parking building so you have to walk down stairs for a little bit, nothing crazy. Rooms are very good and clean. This is my cozy place whenever I come to San Diego.
I travel to San Diego solo 2-3 times per year from New York State and have stayed at this hotel each time over a 5 year period. The service is always excellent. All staff members are kind, courteous, friendly, and respectful. Rooms are adequate, clean, and recently renovated. Each comes with a k-cup coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator, all very convenient. The price for the location can't be beat. Safe area. Starbucks located across the street. Easy walking access to Little Italy, the Embarcadero, Seaport, and Gaslamp. Quick Uber ride from SAN airport. An Uber out to beach towns costs about $20-$25 from hotel. Views on the bayside of hotel can't be beat, awesome sunsets. I highly recommend this hotel!
Not the best Best Western plus I’ve stayed at. The staff were very courteous and helpful, which I really appreciated. However, I missed having a water refill station for my bottle—using the vending machines gets quite expensive if you drink a lot. Another drawback was the lack of breakfast.
The pool wasn’t very inviting, tucked away between four walls and mostly in the shade, so it’s not a place you’d want to spend much time.
On the positive side, the hotel is well located.
