The floors were dirty, they had ants, there was a smell of urine in the room and bathroom had a leaking pipe that had black sludge called on it. Plus the downstairs hallway smelled like weed even though it said it was a smoke free hotel. I don't recommend for the price at all.

My husband and I stayed for three nights. On the first night we had an issue with our room and Tony the manager and his staff were quick at work to relieve the problem the next morning. Thank you so much Tony and staff!
The staff was always polite, courteous, respectful, hard working a day always with a SMILE on their faces.

We stayed here for about a week. Prices are comparable with a Mariott for most part of the year. Staff was very helpful. However, I will not be staying here in future -
1) WiFi speed is about 2 mbps and is very very slow - cannot work from from hotel, calls get dropped frequently. BestWestern will be left behind other chains if this speed is the best they can offer. I tried to work for a week and everyday, the speed was around the same.
2) Room in First floor smelt bad - it smelt like something moist. It was not a good feeling entering the room
3) Rooms are not updated - they have older furniture, 32 inch TV, old carpet only for the cot area, no light on the desk
4) No housekeeping if you are staying for less than 6 days. For more than 5 days stay, you need to place a special request at the front desk
5) Breakfast is same every day - scramble eggs, bacon, bread, juice

I stayed at the Best Western in Syracuse in June of this year, and as a Diamond Select member, I expected a much better experience. When I booked my room, I redeemed a $50 Best Western gift card toward the stay. However, when I checked in, the front desk told me they couldn’t see the gift card in the system and would be charging me the full amount. I was told to speak with the manager, Eugene, the next morning, but since I had to leave early for a job interview and he wasn’t coming in until around 10 AM, I asked for his business email instead.
The next day, I emailed two PDF files — my reservation itinerary and the gift card redemption confirmation, which clearly showed the $50 deduction from the original price. Since then, I have never heard back from Eugene or the hotel. I called the facility directly several times, and every time I was told Eugene was “busy” — once they said something happened to the swimming pool, and other times they came up with different excuses. It felt like they were just making things up to avoid addressing my issue.
I’ve also contacted Best Western customer relations, but after more than two months, I still haven’t received my refund. If you plan to stay at this property, I strongly advise NOT redeeming a Best Western gift card here. Once they say they “don’t see it,” your money is essentially gone, and no matter how many times you follow up — even with Best Western corporate — they simply won’t help. Very disappointing and unprofessional service.
