  I travel for work. I work for the state and use a tax exemption form. After staying 4 weeks in a row because I booked online the front desk lady said she can’t honor my exemption form. I spent an hour out in my car calling and finally she will now remove the taxes. I know there are a lot of State employees that stay here I see them all the time. You would think they would appreciate the business. The breakfast is great and the location close to the prison is nice. No one wants to have to travel long distances before work so this was handy. I don’t know if I will return as it is embarrassing to get yelled at by the front desk lady that said she won’t take the taxes off unless I’m going to pay her rent. I’m here for business I stay the evening , eat breakfast and leave by 7am. I was convenient.

  Maybe I was primed by negative reviews, but my two night stay with my grandmother and 2 small children far exceeded my expectations. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was as good as you could ask for from a Best Western. If you find yourself in need of a place to stay in the area, I would recommend.

  Rooms do not get cleaned. I did not shower because the water trickled out and smelled very foul. The toilet had black streaks due to not being cleaned.

  I spent 2 nights here on March 14 and 15th, everything was satisfactory until 2 weeks later I developed small pimple like bumps with watery fluids on different parts of my body, I had small patches of small bumps in my underarms, elbows, hands, upper thigh legs and lower back. I didn't know what caused these pimple-like small bumps until I went to URGENT Care and Doctor quickly diagnosed these bumps as bed bug bites. Sure enough, the stay at this hotel caused these pimple like small bumps. Beware of their bed sheets or carry your own sheets. Dr said that it can take up to 2 weeks for you to notice the bites on your body.

  Booked a prepaid room two months in advance and got a confirmation that $0 would be collected at check in. Show up to check in and turns out they don’t actually do prepaid rooms. Partially my fault for not verify my bank showed the charge, but when you book prepaid and give your CC you assume it’s paid for that day. I’ve also never been to a hotel where the front desk person was NEVER at the desk. Every single time we went up to the desk no one was there and you had to wait and wait and eventually someone would come out. At one point the front desk worker was outside smoking while a line formed at the desk. She stayed outside looking at all of us while she finished her cigarette. I get it’s a small town and employee pool is small but dang the minimum standards are not being met.
