I’m going to start with the negatives, but there were some positives which I’ll list as well. Negatives: After a fiasco with hotels.com, I ended up calling and booking our reservation directly with the manager of the hotel. However, when we arrived at 9:30 pm with 3 sleeping children, the fella at the counter could not find our reservation. After about 20 minutes he was able to get Stacy, the manager (who is LOVELY) on the phone to fix it. We finally got to our room, and our keys didn’t work. My husband ran back to the office twice to try to get help before the employee finally came to help. He switched us to another room, and another 20 minutes later, we were in. The next morning, the keys again did not work and we had to repeat the above to gain access to our room. The room itself was fairly clean, however there were important areas that were clearly skimmed over during cleaning. Particularly leftover hairs on bathroom fixtures. There was also a lot of scattered trash on exterior stairs and walkways (q-tips, bottle caps, etc). Toilet in the room felt like a gamble every time we flushed it- we had a couple near overflows with modest use of one-ply. The bathrooms in the common area were not tended to and unusable for sanitary concerns. Now for the positives: The staff is caring and friendly. I think they simply don’t have enough employees to keep things up to the standard one expects when they stay in a hotel. The free breakfast is surprisingly good. There is a large green space for kids to run around and play. There is a decent pool. Location is great for hill country exploring. After the check-in experience the kids dubbed this place the “Worst Western” but when we left we collectively decided it was the “Okay-est Western”

Everyone here is so friendly and helpful. Have hot breakfast every morning and the rooms are very nice. Also its quiet here so you can relax while you stay. And the gazebo area is so beautiful. Will definitely be coming back!

I noticed that my review was taken down. Probably because of the attached picture and letting everyone know there were knats everywhere, including the yogurt spout in machine, half inch of water in the eggs, bananas were ready to be throwed out, but they still put them out for customers, and biscuits were hard as rocks. Everything else was great, but the complimentary breakfast was disgusting. The park was beautiful, pool had no towels in cabinet, but VERY nice pool and clean, and the bed was very comfy. Thank God, I didn't see roaches in my room.
