Very well maintained rooms very quiet and relaxing staff are excellent! We have been coming here for almost 10+ years!
Like other reviews I’ve seen here, earwigs running around the floor. Oh, and your pup gets complimentary gummy candies and other treats left on the floor in your room. Make sure you don’t complain or charming “Stella” at the front desk will talk to you like you’re a subhuman. Condescending at best, and insulting the rest of the time. We had the audacity to ask for internet service in our room. After waiting for “repairs” nothing happened. Asked for a different room and as stated in other negative reviews they said, “We got buses coming…” So? If our room is so wonderful and bug free, with internet capability, and functioning a/c - give it to one of them. By the way, don’t bother calling Best Western customer relations. They listen to your complaint, then do absolutely nothing. No call back or follow up. When YOU call them back their standard response is “We can’t do anything. That’s up to the hotel.” You may ask them, “Well, what DO you do?” “We mediate between guests and the hotels…”. Obviously not because their only resolution is to tell you to call the hotel who already banned you because you had the temerity to get what you actually paid for and what they advertised. All these positive reviews? I don’t buy any of them for one second.

Great overnight stay. Hotel and room was clean. The front desk attendant Stephen went above and beyond — professional, friendly, and eager to help, even offering thoughtful recommendations for scenic spots in the area.
Travis in security was attentive and proactive, quickly notifying me when my car trunk was open.
I didn’t expect much for breakfast, but it was a pleasant surprise with juices, toast, bagels, granola, and even make-your-own waffles.
The property is also pet friendly with a large grass area to walk your dog, well-equipped with poop bags.
BW is just minutes from the beautiful views at Kent Pond and about 30 minutes from Quechee Gorge and Woodstock. Along the way, you’ll pass charming sights like the historic Taftsville Covered Bridge!

The check in process was painless, the place is in pretty good shape with a spacious layout. We'll maintained grounds. It's a bit of a distance from the town and there's no bar nor restaurant. What there is however is a free bus into town run by the local council which goes from right outside the hotel. Check Google maps for the timetable.

This is our go-to spot whenever we visit family in Rutland. Kerry is incredible and we feel like we are home when we are there. My daughter calls it “the waffle place” because the breakfast is so good. Ken is incredibly helpful and available to help with everything. The suites are perfect for our family. We always say “we could live here.” We wouldn’t stay anywhere else! It’s clean, friendly, great breakfast, and the heated pool and tennis courts were a ton of fun for the kids.
