Reception was very good. Room was clean. Breakfast was good. Shower Head was a bugger... really high, couldn't even reach and sprayed really high as well. Reserved a room on bottom floor towards the back, which I received, unfortunately it was a dog room which I knew the moment I entered due to the smell. I was relocated upstairs over the stairwell as that's all that was available. No elevator available so we had to lug our bags upstairs... not happy about that. I guess being a member doesn't really afford you any special treatment.

My husband and I have stayed at several best westerns including this one, but this is the first terrible experience we've ever had. My husband is handicapped, so we got a handicap room. After a long drive and being exhausted, we were ready to get in our room and get a good night sleep. Instead we were met with a stuffy hot room, that literally took my breath away when we walked in. Hubby went to turn the air on to cool it down, and nothing. Hubby called the front desk told them it wasn't working. Front desk said they could only offer him a fan due to being completely sold out. I pondered the thought of opening the window but with us being on floor level I didn't think it would be safe, and I didn't want to smell dog poop all night. (There was lots of dog poop all throughout the rock area below the window) As we were settling in to try and make the best of it, out of no where the AC came on, I was excited, the room would finally cool down. Took us almost an hour to figure out the TV. It's a hotel and we were not about to log into our own Google anything just to watch some TV before bed. The air coming on was very short lived, 20 minutes and was back off. For the rest of the night, yes the front desk brought us a fan, but it stayed so hot in the room, we hardly got any sleep. The light on the table by the window kept flickering so we weren't able to use that one. Fast forward to when we started to pack up and get going, my husband took a shower but the shower head was broken and not working properly. As we were packing up and taking our stuff to our car, guess what came on, yup the air came back on, for the moment anyway.

This hotel is older but the staff keeps it very clean. The room i stayed in had an odd smell, kind of like old mixed with cleaners lol. The bed was good but the pillows were lumpy and needed to be replaced. The room was well stocked with a microwave, coffee maker and a refrigerator. The ac unit was quiet and efficient. There is no elevator to the second floor, only stairs. The breakfast starts at 6:00 am. The food is fresh and very good!

First, the person at the front desk, Mike, took about 30 minutes to find our reservation. We waited because we had already paid. When he finally checks us in, we get to the room and are sorely disappointed in what our $300 "executive suite" looks like. The jetted tub is barely big enough for one. You cannot see either TV from the tub. The TV in the room is about 20 feet away from the bed, and awkwardly positioned on the wall.
