Spent three days, was in kitchenette suite. So let's be clear, the entire place is far past its Prime. The only reason I stayed was for the breakfast, it is from 7:30am till 10:30am. Excellent times and as is the breakfast, the room(s) are in need of complete renovation.
The indoor and outdoor pools are nice, location is good with a mall & beach close by. I had no issues with staff and found them to be very kind and helpful.
Would I stay again ? Probably not, the rooms are just too old and dated. They have that "smell" you get from decades of no updating. The parking areas have pavement up rooting from the trees, the steps are horrible to use.
*Maybe the manager can let the girl running the breakfast to please treat your guests like "guests" and not interrogating them to make sure they are not walking off the street for a free meal. Show a little respect please 🙏

Older but clean. The front desk ladies are awesome, great sense of humor. The breakfast I heard so much about while checking in left a bit to be desired. But honestly, no complaints at all. Thanks for the great stay.

Disgusting rooms and not a place I would want to take my family on vacation. Avoid!
Very pleasant staff, our young lady made sure we were all set.

This review is based on a one night stopover in Penticton and by the BW high standards. The stay was a King size room on the second floor. Upon entering, a pronounced scent was immediately noticeable, raising concerns since I have multiple chemical sensitivity (MSC) and the first time experienced such a strong scent in BW hotels and competitors The finding of forgotten cleaning rags and a couple of stray long hairs in the bathroom was also not appealing.
Despite the assurance from the front desk that there is a scent free policy and no room fresheners are used, the aroma persisted until, after the airing out the room upon returning from dinner, it began to subside (thankfully). While the linens and towels were fragrance-free and the Argan hand soap was suitable, other Argan amenities were left unused due to uncertainty. I am guessing that carpet deodorizer may be responsible for the lingering odour.
The bathroom revealed further shortcomings: a cracked tile, an aging shower head, and notably an outdated sunken bathtub from the 1980s, accessed by a step. This presents clear safety risks, particularly for guests with mobility or balance issues and seems ill suited for a family focused inn. Notably the website image for the King Room did not display tub style.
Despite these issues, the bed and pillows were comfy, the courtyard is 5/5 with a welcoming family-oriented design. It features a grassy, tree shaded spaces, umbrellaed patio tables, indoor and outdoor pools, BBQ facilities, and a playground. The ground floor perfect for young families. Breakfast and staff service is 5/5
Two stars were deducted due to scent management and the need for bathroom upgrades/repairs and perhaps some modernization to meet the high expectation set by the BW brand.
