  Thus hotel was great everyone so friendly and the free breakfast was delicious plenty of variety of all kinds of food. 5 star recommended 👌

  Surprisingly good value. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Free breakfast with an option to make your own waffles. 24x7 coffee machine and fruits. Small gym with a couple of treadmills. Water dispenser in the gym. Very responsive staff. Late checkouts unavailable. Room phone did not work during our stay.

  Upon arrival, toilet is not clean, hairball on the ground, sand on the beds. NOT CLEAN at all. Janitor who cleaned this room practically just did a quick clean. Not a deep clean. Stay away from this hotel if you can.

  I can't speak yet to the rooms, but I sure can address the service already. We are BW members and got a couple hotel rooms for our kids for a family reunion in Santa Cruz. They were exhausted from the journey and went at 2:45 with my husband (whose name was on the reservation) to check in. The front desk staff refused to let them check in ("3 o'clock check-in no exceptions"), and even refused to let them use the ground-floor bathrooms. I can kind of understand the check-in wait, but to not let them use the bathroom? Inhospitable and unacceptable. We are actually shocked and have never experienced that kind of customer disservice at a BW before. Someone needs to school the front desk folks at that property. Pronto. This review is cross-listed.

  NOW UPDATED to reply to owners reply: DONT BOOK HERE!!!! THEY KICKED US OUT AND LEFT US STRANDED IN SANTA CRUZ WITH NO REFUND!!!! My friend had booked a room for 2 for the night. We just got off work and some of us (2 staying plus 5 just getting ready) needed to get dressed before setting off for Motiv in downtown. We were probably there for 30 minutes total before the cops were called on us. We didnt have music playing, we were just talking so it wasnt loud at all. The blonde manager had a horrible attitude and wouldnt listen to us explain that we were only there for a little while just to get ready and only two out of the group were going to be coming back later that night to sleep there. She had us tresspassed and essentially had one of our friends stranded in SC without a place to stay AND REFUSED refund. The police kicking us out agreed with us saying this was ridiculous and if we were only there to get ready, it was uncalled for. Do not book here unless you're prepared for them to kick you out and not give you a refund. They are the worst hotel in SC that I've been to. Its so sketchy on the outside and in a very dangerous area. The pictures are very misleading and the manager and owner are shady and will steal your booking while kicking you out when you get there. DONT GO HERE!!! EDIT: tried looking all over their website for their terms for reservations and no where does it specify what we did was against policy! It seems as if they are lying to save face. Again: they will steal your booking and not refund you!!!! Unless they can show me exactly where the terms we violated are on the contract, my opinion and review still stands (But of course, I added a screenshot of THEIR policies to this post so I know the policy they refer to doesn't exist!) . We still haven't received a refund either!! Ive included a screenshot of their policies!! Everyone should check Yelp because the reviews there are way more accurate to the quality of this hotel
