Ok hotel, night manager wanted to charge for the use of the EV charger, no problem....until they said the price was $50 per hour. For those who dont know thats roughly 25x the price it costs and about 10 to 15x the price of supercharging which is pretty pricey due to the speed. I would have gladly paid them a healthy markup but that felt pretty extreme considering most places dont cost for slow charging. I guess the were trying to recoup the cost of installation but with a price that high they might not care and its more of a gimmick to get folks to book there and feel trapped. The rest of the stay was pleasant with no hiccups to speak of but I guess when you pay 70 to 80 a night you shouldn't expect $6 to $7 of included electricity.

We had a big block of rooms for a wedding. No USB ports at all for phone charging. No coffee in room, but saw the coffee makers in storage. I guess they eliminated this amenity. We got kicked out of lobby common area at night because it was “closed”. What hotel closes the common area? We carried chairs from lobby onto their driveway outside the front door so our family could enjoy time together. This hotel should be $75 per night. Very outdated.

Stay there Mid-May 2025 and the front desk person (Kaylie) was exceptionally great at being warm, courteous, helpful, and welcoming. To be honest, I come across the opposite traits with people in general these days. The hotel pool was nice and the room and maids were very nice too! The location was ideal: just far enough from and just close enough to Houma. I'll absolutely be back!!!!
