    The hotel front desk clerk who's name is Karen who works at the chico location had horrible customer service. My husband went to show our car to sell it to a guest checked into the hotel and she came out to our car pretending to be on the phone with the cops saying my husband couldn't be in the parking lot. And my husband's asked our passenger why Karen had to be so rude and then she started acting like a luientic for no reason. She treated my husband like he was doing something wrong when in fact one of the hotel guests asked us to come over. She started screaming and acting crazy. She is very un professional and rude and a pretend cop caller.

    On July 12, 2025 we booked and stayed in two rooms at the Best Western Heritage Inn in Chico, CA. My husband and I were travelling with his daughter who was starting at Chico State in the fall, and we were there to find her an apartment. During the course of the stay there were bugs in one room, and we switched. Then my husband sat in a chair in the lobby that fell a part when he leaned back, and he fell on the floor. An incident report was written. Lastly we were harassed by an under the influence parolee who was loitering in the area, and the police were called. Onyx at the front desk indicated our rooms would be comped. In my guest survey I commended Onyx for her help in a trying stay. A few weeks later I found that we were charged for the rooms. Three calls were made to Angela Howell, manager, were made. She never returned the calls and we remain charged for the rooms. This is fraud - we were lied to by the workers of the hotel and should not have been charged.

    Best Western Chico exceeded my expectations! The staff was friendly and attentive, the rooms were spotless and comfortable, and breakfast had a great variety. The location is perfect, close to everything but still quiet. I’ll definitely stay here again! A big thanks to the staff for welcoming us so well!

    This is a great place to stay. I visit my sister's children once a year. And this is where I always stay, usually for 5 to 7 days. The rooms are nice. Even though it is right off the freeway and the street nearby is often busy and backed up, the hotel is very quiet. There is a nice green lawn between between the hotel and the street. Every thing is clean and quiet. Breakfast is fantastic, a wide selections of all kinds of breakfast foods. And it is easy to make friend with other people who are staying there. It is near several really good restaurants and a mall with Trader Joe's and shops. Several of the bigger stores have closed, but it seems to be a safe place. I have never had any problems in that area. The staff at the hotel are extremely helpful!

    I stayed at this location for 2 weeks, with my daughters. Check-in was great, with ease and the attendant was kind. This location however does not cater to children, and that is clear! I run a tight ship with my kids, but I also raise them to assert this independence and I entrust them with certain tasks. Best western has a pool, the signage states children under 14 are prohibited, my daughter is above that age and was allowed with my permission to be at the pool, but the general manager had said something negative to me about her being there, I informed her of the signs posted, to which she told me those were incorrect. How can a manager not be conducting routine monitoring of all signs at her location ? I had worked at a clinic, where the refrigerator was better tracked monthly, than a pool where guests enter on a daily basis, this seems lazy, in my opinion and a lawsuit waiting to happen. My 10 y/o daughter was instructed by me to bring some garbage to the can 20 feet up the hall on our floor. I was contacted immediately by Sarah, who told me she must be watched at all times. I asked for this policy in writing, since she was calling me immediately with this complaint. No documentation was provided, I did not appreciate being targeted for simply allowing my kids to be entrusted with tasks I delegated. No complaints made to people smoking at the pool and dumping beer bottles on the premises though, I would not give business to this hotel again, due to discrimination of children !
