  The Old Mattoon HI (now Heartland Inn) is a very nice BW property. Rooms were clean, updated, and comfortable... w a terrific refrigerator, which is nice for a long wkend stay. Breakfast was available. I'd definitely stay again

  No hot water or even close to a resemblance of hot water. Stayed for business tried at 9pm and 430am water no change in temp.

  The hotel stay was good, the room was clean. What bought the experience over the top was the lady over the kitchen whose name begins with an M. She was amazing so was the breakfast! I've never seen that type of complimentary breakfast be so exquisite. She was friendly and explained how to use the various appliances. She touched my heart when she spoke of having been a hospice nurse. She indulged my few questions with compassion and understanding all while being busy keeping the area immaculate! I would stay again just for the breakfast! I'm sorry I can't remember her whole name.

  Rooms are quiet and clean. Staff was very friendly and courteous. Marked it on my map and will say again.

  Bugs all over room, sheets were constantly damp and room had terrible smell. My coworkers room leaked water from the ac unit non stop and puddled up by his bed. The city water was contaminated with algae, and the drinking water was unsafe to drink and they gave no notice, but when my company switched us to the holiday inn across the street that hotel had notices posted on the very front door, overall terrible experience, go to the holiday inn much better
