A beautiful manicured property with friendly customer service and clean and well appointed rooms. We were very happy with our king lakefront room. Plenty of space to relax and watch football with some BC Pizza and a beautiful view of the Straits out our balcony doors.

We had a beautiful eastern lake view, it was a beautiful sunrise and the guy on the golf cart was so attentive to guests needing to go various places on the ground. Absolutely would stay again! The breakfast was also amazing! The staff did a great job keeping up with the busy dining room during a busy season!

This Best Western is in a good location right in town by amenities and Lake Huron. Lake views are awesome! The little playground with swings is nice for younger kids. Our room was nice with space for 6 of us. The only downside of the room was the mattresses were old and uncomfortable, especially the sofa bed mattress. It was super squeaky and very worn out. The other downside was the bathroom floor was filthy and full of hair from previous guests. We told front desk staff and they had a housekeeper go in to clean the floors while we were out. Breakfast was good! Lots of variety of foods and nice eating area. Great customer service from breakfast staff! When the weather is colder, make sure you bring warm coats for the morning because you have to walk outside over to breakfast or ride their club cart. The indoor pool is also in the front lobby/breakfast building, so you have to walk outside to get over there to swim even in the colder weather months (not very convenient with younger kids). Overall, we enjoyed our family trip stay and would visit again!

I booked a stay here for my family for the weekend. We booked a suite which was nice and had a great view. Unfortunately we did have to wait an hour and a half for the room to be cleaned but that’s understandable. At the beginning and end of the stay my Mom inquired for some sort of compensation. She was told the manager, Angela, help with that and call her back. Angela Never did. My mom called every day for a week being on hold for the manager and having them hang up when she called. They told my mom get a ticket from the corporate number for the issue when in fact corporate told my mom the only person who could help her is the manager. Not only did they waste my mom’s time waiting for the room but wasted her time trying to get in touch with someone to resolve this issue. Their customer service skills suck, at that point it’s just rude and disrespectful, especially to a customer who paid over $1000 for the weekend. Not accommodating at all and not willing to take accountability or even to apologize. They also lied and tried to say my mom and family only waited 20 minutes for our room which was even more frustrating. I called back in hopes to speak for my mom and get something and the manager, Angela, lied and said our credit card was compensated $500 back when my mom originally filed for a complaint ticket. Not only was that a lie since it hasn’t been added to our credit card account but also they tried to say they emailed us with the info, also a lie. Not even one call back ever to confirm we “received” this supposed refund. When I asked for her to email me the details, she took my info and never emailed me with the said receipt of refund. Not nice people at all. As a hotel you would assume they’d have some training or a service standard to uphold their hospitality but they need a lot of work in that department. They answer their phones with just “hello” and end the call without verifying if you may have any other questions, not even a “have a nice day”. No smile and not welcoming at all. Please go look for somewhere else to stay if you want to be treated like a decent human being. We will not be wasting our time and money on best western again, much less this place. Very disappointing.

->Beautiful location, great amenities, fantastic included breakfast<- Really enjoyed our stay here! While the "welcome popcorn" in the lobby was down to nothing but salt and kernels at 4:30pm, everything else was great. We loved our room with a view of the beach and water and a little private balcony. Also that we could park just outside our room was a bonus! Internet speed was ok (11 mbps upload/11 mbps download). There was an indoor pool and outdoor pool, a playground and a firepit. Need tickets for the ferry? They can help you with that, too. Clean room, Quiet night. In the morning, a fella with a multi-seat golf cart was offering rides up to the breakfast area (not a far walk, but an appreciated service) Included breakfast was very well organized: clean, well-attended and quite busy! Great hot food choices such as scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, biscuits and gravy - plus other things such as waffles, cereals, bread products, and more. A weekday in October 2025 was $130.50 USD before tax.
