Got a room with a jacuzzi for one night. The room was okay, nothing too fancy, and the jacuzzi showed some age.
When we went to use the jacuzzi, we plugged the tub, filled it to the full line, and turned on the jets. The jets immediately sprayed water everywhere and would not turn off, even with the switch. The carpet got soaked as a result.
The manager claimed it was our fault for not filling the tub enough, even though it was nearly full. Then he changed his story and said we should have turned the jets off, but they wouldn’t shut off, even when another hotel employee came in and tried as well.
We used the tub exactly as intended and experienced issues that I worry future guests will also encounter.
The manager said he would charge us for damages and to move us to another room. I explained our side again and asked if they had any written instructions or documentation on when the tub was last tested.
Shortly after, we were given a new key and told to move to another room (without a jacuzzi) at no additional charge.
The next morning, I called corporate customer support. They contacted the hotel, and the hotel “decided” not to charge us for damages but still insisted it was our fault.
I have videos showing the issue and that the jets would not turn off, in case they try to dispute this review.
Overall, a very poor experience. To make matters worse, the beds didn’t have mattress protectors, and the mattresses looked disgusting.
I hate leaving terrible reviews but if it helps warn somebody else it’s worth it.
