  Everything about this hotel has turned into a nightmare. The owners are rude beyond words! We have stayed here several times in the past but never again. The recent reviews by others are spot on. Best Western needs to drop this facility because it gives their chain a terrible name.

  I work in the oil field frequently in giddings every hotel here sucks this one is no different can’t wait until oil and gas leaves this city to deteriorate

  I had a two night reservation. When you first enter the hotel you have to call the front desk to enter. This gave me an uneasy feeling about my vehicle. Hotel room was musty and toilet continued running after flush. I had to lift the lid and reset and seen the plunger was caught on the ball valve. Whataburger next door open late. Cars blasting music at 2am. Woke up tired and gone twelve hours. Come back with my room and found it was serviced and that my IPhone dongle was stolen. Yikes. I decided to not stay my second night and drive home late and tired. I usually stay with another brand but decided to try Best Western because it was a closer location to where I was going. I’d rather drive home, stay farther, or sleep in my truck. I suggest whoever reads this do the same.

  Wednesday we checked in and went to take a shower after our long drive. The hotel has a water softener so I was very careful because the soft water seems to make things more slick. Placed the rubber mat on the tub floor and after getting in turned around and fell. The only grab bar is on the wall behind the curtain when you are showering. I grabbed for it and the wet shower curtain slipped away from grab bar allowing me to fall onto my back up on the tub edge and pulling the curtain down as I then fell outside onto the floor. Thank God I did not hit my head. As soon as I was able to get up, dressed and downstairs I let the lady that checked is in know what happened. Her response was. "Oh". I told asked her if they had any better rubber mats and she said "no". I said I guess I'll have to go to Walmart and she said "ok". That was all she said. No one checked to see how I was after that.
