I stayed at this hotel and had a very good experience. The hotel is quiet, clean, and comfortable, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. For anyone visiting New York for the first time, I think this hotel is a safe and reliable choice.
After four days of research (and even asking ChatGPT for advice 😅), I created a simple sightseeing plan that turned out to be very enjoyable. I’d like to share it here in case it helps other travelers:
1. Start your day from Upper Manhattan by taking the subway. Along the way, you’ll pass by many famous tourist spots.
2. Continue all the way downtown and visit the Brooklyn Bridge. I highly recommend watching the sunset from the bridge — the view is amazing.
3. After crossing, take a break at Brooklyn Bridge Park.
4. From there, you can easily take the subway again (no line changes needed) back uptown to 175th Street.
5. From the 175th Street station, it’s very easy to take an Uber or Lyft back to the hotel.
✅ Tip: Most tourist attractions in New York have nearby subway stations, which makes the subway the best way to get around. Driving a car in NYC is stressful — parking is hard to find and very expensive, and traffic is always busy. With the subway, you can relax and enjoy the city more.
⚠️ To be honest, the NYC subway is not perfect. Some cars are very hot, some smell unpleasant, and overall it can feel a bit boring. But despite these issues, it is still the fastest and most practical way to explore the city.
🚗 Another tip: You can safely park your car at the hotel during the day and use the subway for sightseeing. Then, when you return in the evening, after a shower and some rest, if you are not too tired, you can still take your car out for a drive. At night, the traffic is much lighter, and you can enjoy the city from a different perspective.
This plan is simple, budget-friendly, and allows you to see many of New York’s highlights in just one day. I hope it will be as enjoyable for you as it was for me.
