We haven't had to many problem with Best Western Plus Hotels.
We are Gold Rewards Members and have been with you for several years.
We stated Best Western Marshall, Tx.
We were heading towards Lubbock TX.
We stayed our first night here. It's an older hotel. It was clean, but can us a good scrub in the restroom behind the door Our bed was hard. I couldn't sleep, my husband slept. No oder! We stayed and it was on the first floor #107 We made it work.
On our way back to Alabama we thought we would stay again.
But this time they gave us a room up stairs. So we thought let's go eat first, so I don't have to go up and down the stairs. Room # 207
My husband is 75 years, and I'm 67 years. I have bad knees. So stairs are hard for me.
My husband went up before me.
He walked in and out and told me, he could not stay in this room his allergies started to bother him right away!!
When I finally made it up the stairs and into the room it had a bad odor like a wet animal was in the room & they tryed to cover up the smell with carpet cleaner or something. It was bad for us,just to walk into a room and our allergies act up so fast!!
My throat started to act up too!
Went back down stairs with our luggage. We went to ask if we cancel this room #207, so we can get another room somewhere else. Trudy said sorry, but she's not authorized to do a refund, only the manager can and he was not available.
I asked if she can write me a note that we canceled this room. Our allergies will not let us stay in the room. She said sorry,
I said okay, we will call the manager Tuesday.
It's (Labor Day weekend).
I also called Best Western customer Care they couldn't do anything either, we still had to talk to the manager.
We did ask the Best Western Agent, if there was another
Best Western Plus Hotel near us.
We had to drive 25 miles backwards to Longview TX.
We paid for another room there.
As for the Best Western in Marshall Tx. Trudy called us.. she talked with my husband. She was able to give us a Refund a couple of days later.
Trudy for your help.
Sorry it didn't work for us.
Thanks you,
Mrs. Lea Tillman
