Me and my partner booked here as a last minute hotel after her graduation party. We arrived around 12am and booked our hotel. After leaving our bags in the room, we stopped to get Wingstop nearby. After bringing the food back, we ate and got ready for bed.
Anytime we go to a hotel, we check sheets and bedding to see whether they are clean or not. For the first time in any hotel, we found very unpleasant findings in the up-keeping of this specific hotel’s bedding. On the surface of the sheets there were stains on the pillow cases , unidentifiable small piles of what looked like dead skin of some sort and hairs. Underneath the first layer of sheets , there were boogers/ and mucus slid across the side of the bed , as well as what looked like a pubic hair near the bottom.
After seeing the bedding, we were hesitant to stay and but it was late, and we were tired so we asked for new sheets, but decided to go ahead and just leave before the sheets got to us.
We requested a refund and the clerk said he would call the GM (Suru) to ask if it was okay to refund. The response he gave us was “the owner (Suru) said there’s nothing they can do about it”
We wanted to give it one more try before calling Suru, so we asked for another room and they gave us a new key.
After checking the sheets on the next bed , we had the same experience. It looked like the sheets had not been changed either and the bed had more unpleasant stains, hairs and markings on it.
Keep in mind, you never know what the last person has brought to the room, so this could be a flag for potential bed bugs or and worse.
After seeing the sheets in the 2nd room we decided it was enough. We left around 2AM ( a 2hr total booking) and tried calling Suru with no answer ( the contact card for Suru is just the Corsicana hotel’s line)
Contact issues:
The next day, I tried calling back, the clerk on the shift told me Suru would be back next week .
I patiently waited until Monday to call, and after I called, I was told she was out sick and would not be back until the next week.
When I called Monday the next week, another clerk answered, and I told her what happened the night me and my partner stayed at the hotel and that I have proof of the bedding since we took pictures and even got a receipt of our visit. She tried to get in contact with Suru with “no Luck” and told me she would leave a voicemail and note for her to see. She told me suru would be back the next day.
I called back Tuesday to confirm if Suru had seen my message and was then told she would not be back until the next day again in the morning around 10am - 1pm but the clerks said they did not know what exact time she would be in.
I waited until today (Wednesday June 4th 2025) to call once again and was first told “she’s out of town so she won’t be here today”. After explaining that the other clerks told me the she would in fact, be at the hotel, the clerk says “ okay, I just talked to her actually, she will be in after 3pm”
After expecting Suru had been avoiding me, I called customer relations to explain to them the situation and unprofessionalism of the hotel and they said they would send a ticket in to request a refund. I told them to let me try one more time to call at 3pm so maybe I can talk to Suru.
After calling once at 3:10 and then once again after 4pm I was told both times that Suru still was not there.
After those called , I went ahead again and called customer relations to submit my ticket, and the representative told me “the GM said they are refusing your refund”
Overall, the experience was draining, unpleasant , disappointing and unacceptable.
I would not recommend anyone who is passing by to spend money on these rooms that are not kept up with.
They also avoid refunding the customer even when they are at fault.
Booking here puts the customer at risk when not being cleaned properly and I will not be recommending or staying at any other Best Western location because of this experience.
