Me and my wife live here in Corpus Christi and there was a festival downtown tonight (Nov 1). I called this hotel to make a reservation because we planned on walking around downtown and having some drinks, and we didn’t want to drink and drive.
However, when I called, they told me they do not rent rooms to people who live in the local area. Even after I explained that we were simply trying to be responsible and avoid driving under the influence, they still refused to accommodate us.
So I’m not sure how that policy is supposed to promote safety in the community. It honestly feels like they’re encouraging people to drive home after drinking, rather than allowing locals to stay somewhere nearby and be safe.
If you’re from the Corpus Christi area, just be aware — they will turn you away even if you’re trying to do the right thing.

We had a good stay here for 18 days, can be noisy during the weekends with nearby restaurant music late at night.
Staff was very friendly and you have covered parking.
It is a busy hotel with a lot of travelers.
Rooms were spacious, but the hotel is started to show its age. Overall pleasant.

We chose to stay here for a recent family wedding. We had the most wonderful stay! The room was well cared for, the bed was comfortable, & the breakfast was great. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. During our stay, I lost my purse and Shane McDonald went above our expectations to help locate it. I am so grateful for his personal concern with the problem! I am happy to report the purse was found. I highly recommend staying here!

We booked this hotel for 3 nights. When we got to the hotel everything was fine. However the room we were in on the 3rd floor had a very high pitched humming noise that kept me awake the first night. I didn't sleep at all. Infact it was such a bad noise that it made me so angry trying to ignore it. When I spoke to the front desk they said they send an engineer. They did and he came and said he would check the air con and never came back without any explanation. The next morning l, first thing I complained to the front desk and they said they can only give me rubber earplugs. I got them but that morning as the morning went on the noise was just so irritating, I couldn't hear my families conversation, the TV and I had to complain again. A nice key helped (Zak I think his name was) and explained that the pool side of the hotel uoto the 4 th floor had the same noise as it was a old hotel. He changed our room and I didn't hear it again. I wish they had mentioned this issue when we booked in. Also I don't know why the morning lady I complained to didn't just move our room rather than giving me ear plugs which I thought was rude. The other issue we had is we went to take the kids to the pool on Sunday and it was closed for maintenance. So not a good stay overall.
