lots of broken things in the room no air, no cross breeze, the air conditioner recycled the air within the room you had to open the door to get fresh air. either the dead bird out on the sealed off balcony was there when the maid left or not I don't know. when we arrived in the afternoon the girl was very blah, not very friendly. however the lady in the morning was very polite and kind and courteous.. I won't be back!

Good value overall. We always appreciate the mini fridge and microwave. But there were some issues. The window faced the pool which was nice to look at, but while there was a small ledge that would have allowed room for a cute little balcony, not only was there no door but the window didn't even open! Consequently the room was a bit stuffy. The carpet was also damp and almost sticky feeling. We finally found out why. One of the sinks was leaking, and my husband's slipped and almost fell because of the water on the floor. And one of my absolute biggest pet peeves in hotels - light switches outside the bathroom, and no separate fan without a light! Why!?! This is so inconvenient - if you have to turn on the bathroom light at night (would rather just be able to turn on the fan only), it inconveniences anyone else in the room. There was also someone in the parking lot playing extremely loud music in their car for quite a while, but someone at the front desk did take care of that issue fairly quickly after we called though.

This hotel was the best animal friendly hotel in our last family trip! ❤️ 🐾
Quality service, friendly staff, good breakfast.
Rooms are a little bit old but clean and smells fresh.
I can recommend it to anyone traveling with their furry family members

Receptionist wasn’t very friendly. And breakfast gal didn’t replenish items without being asked. And didn’t say hello to guests kept to herself on her phone.

I have been coming to Best Western Charleston Inn for 8 years. My Girlfriend and I have had nothing but amazing stays. Always first floor, poolside. Everybody working here bent over backwards to accommodate you. The landscaping was meticulously cared for as well.
It changed ownership in the last year or so, and I was wondering how that would effect my stay. I was very hopeful it would be as good, if not better then it had been for all those years.
I had tried to call the hotel to make reservations, they merely transfered me to the 800# for reservations. I hung up. In the past it was suggested to call directly, so they could ensure everything was right, after corporate had botched one of my reservations. So, walking in off the street I told them I wanted first floor, pool view. I was told every one of those rooms were unavailable. She could only book me into one in the far back (facing a halfway house and woods). I have never felt safe back there at night.
I declined.
Used my phone, booked the exact room I wanted on the best western website.
Walked back in told her I had a reservation, and I was informed again that she couldn't help me.
The website listed many rooms available.
I pointed that out, and magically the exact room I had booked appeared!
Im grateful for the room.
But I fear I will not chance it again, which is sad.
I loved this place, and miss the extended family who ran it.
They made it feel like a home away from home.
