Booked a double bed room and the sheets had hair in them, the sink was dirty and all cracked so they upgraded us to a king bed room which was a smidgen cleaner. The bathtub wouldn't drain while we were showering and the furniture looked like people spilt food everywhere. We couldn't leave our stay fast enough. We felt very dirty staying there. The 2 stars are only for the front staff because they were polite; or I would have given this zero stars. One of the worst hotels we have stayed at.

I don't typically write reviews, but felt it was necessary after noticing some bad comments. I understand that previous complaints may be valid, but I've personally used this chain for five recent business layovers in different Alberta locations. I'm happy to report that the service was excellent, with staff being consistently cordial and highly helpful.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and restaurants. Overall, a great value for the price—I’d definitely consider staying here again. Thanks to Merlin for the great customer support

I am perplexed as to why a hotel would deactivate their air conditioning system in the evening, citing cold outdoor temperatures as the reason. This seems illogical. I booked a one-night stay at this hotel and checked in prior to midnight, following my arrival from BC. The initial impression was favorable, with a smooth check-in process. However, upon entering the room, I was struck by the warmth, with the temperature reading approximately 24 degrees. Despite activating the air conditioning, the room failed to cool. I contacted the reception desk to inquire about the issue and was informed by the staff that the air conditioning system was being deactivated due to the cold outdoor temperatures. The staff member even suggested that I simply open the window. I was taken aback by this response, having never encountered such a policy before. I expressed my disappointment and was assured that I would not return to this hotel. Upon checking out and voicing my complaint, the lady at the reception confirmed that the hotel does indeed deactivate its air conditioning system.
When I’m done voicing out my complaint another customer complaining the same issue. Terrible service.

Our recent stay at this Best Western was not as pleasant as we hoped. The front desk and restaurant staff were consistently friendly and accommodating, which we appreciated. The high toilet in the bathroom was convenient, but the deep and narrow tub was difficult to use for shorter or plus-sized guests, and no face cloths were provided. Housekeeping refreshed the towels and bedding but did not remove used glasses or restock the in-room tea.
The room lighting made it hard to sleep, and the mix of “yellow” and “bright white” bulbs created an uneven effect; choosing one consistent tone, ideally bright white, would improve comfort. One main elevator was out of service for most of our stay, and the basement elevator to the pool and fitness area was also unavailable. When we finally accessed the pool, it was very cold, and keycards occasionally stopped working, which was inconvenient.
Breakfast was the highlight, offering friendly service and a nice variety of options such as scrambled eggs, cereal, yogurt, back bacon or sausage, and tater tots. The location is excellent, with easy access to shopping and dining. However, the property would benefit from maintenance, better housekeeping attention, and improvements to guest comfort.
