  Old hotel. Kind of revamped using paint and new flooring. Tubs was very gross. It was so slippery in it and not sure why. Very dirty and worn out looking. We had to use the tub once, very quickly. Yuck!! We tried to get cold water out of the sink and but stayed warm. Not all of the vending machines were working. We did not stay for the complimentary breakfast. Person working the desk was very nice. The place was pretty packed with guest, but there are not that many places to stay in Townsend, TN. Townsend is a scenic, nice and quiet area.

  Nope. Skip this one. - Stayed 2 nights, killed a cockroach each night. - Room smelled weird - Basically no soap or shampoo - AC unit did not work well - Front desk did not care about the concerns that were brought to them and nothing was done about it. - Location is meh. It's nice that it's more quiet than being in pigeon forge or Gatlinburg, and there's enough nearby that you're not completely out in the middle of nowhere, but if you're wanting to go to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge, it's a bit of a drive and there's always someone going slow on the main road in. - Fridge in both our rooms were set to the lowest setting so there was basically no cool air so we weren't able to refrigerate what we had upon arrival, I assume they do this to try to save a few extra pennies.

  No pool (no matter what the website says). No coffee maker. Constant beeping noise from Electrical Room next door. (Room 225) Room clean. Decent breakfast. Great location for bear watching and leaf peeping. Fair pricing. Staff not very friendly for a Tennessee Motel, us Tennesseans are notoriously kind and friendly, don't make us look bad. Saw 3 bear cubs today.

  After a long drive with kids we arrived at 2:00 AM and found small roach-like insects in the room. Since it was late, I reported it to reception in the morning and all I received was, “sorry you had a bad experience.” Very disappointing. Cleanliness and pest control are basic expectations—this stay was unacceptable. Room 219.

  Extremely disappointing experience. We were unable to make our reservation due to mudslides on I-40. When I called to cancel, I was told only the manager could issue a refund—but the manager was never available. I made several calls and even stopped by the next day, yet still no manager. I then reached out to Best Western customer service, only to be told it’s entirely up to this individual motel to decide. Very frustrating and unprofessional. I expected much better from Best Western, but Cades Cove Inn fell far short.
