Best Foot Forward Dance Studio in Escondido, CA offers a variety of dance classes, including ballet, jazz, lyrical, tap, hip hop, musical theater, and more.
My daughter has been going here for over a year. She started at their old location off East Valley Pkwy and is now at the Center City Pkwy location. The staff and instructors are wonderful. There are a ton of different classes offered throughout the day for all ages and levels. Prices are very reasonable and if you miss a class they are nice enough to let you make it up within the week.
While we only take 1 class currently , you can tell that several of these families practically live at the studio.
Every year they have a dance recital which is additional. I believe they've been doing it for 18 years or so and the experience shows. I was beyond impressed with how organized and we'll put together it was. Costumes were amazing and routines were fascinating to watch. A ton of effort goes into its production and it surely shows.
Thank you BFF!!

I can't tell you enough how awesome this studio is both for me (as a mother) and my daughter (as a student)! I would recommend it to anyone in the area---no matter what your age or skill level. They are very hands on and their personalized attention goes a long way. If I could give them more stars you can guarantee I would!

My family is in our 8th year at Best Foot Forward and our 6th year on the competition team. When our family moved back into the area I called several local dance studios and BFF was the only one to return my call which automatically earned my business. Since then we have absolutely grown to love this studio. They offer a full schedule with many styles for all levels and have super dedicated teachers that strike a great balance between fun and discipline. The studio is well run and both the competition team and the annual recital are very organized. One of my daughters started the pre-pointe program this year and she really loves it. We are really lucky to have found BFF and couldn't imagine dancing anywhere else.

My daughter has been dancing at BFF for over five years. She started dance when she was two in city recreation programs but by the time she was five, we knew we needed a "real" dance studio experience. BFF offeres a wide variety of classes so it was fun for my daughter to try different styles when she first started. After a couple of years at the studio we joined their competition team. It has been a wonderful experience for both her and I. We've made lifelong friends and I know she is getting a dance education that will benefit her in a multitude of ways as she grows. The studio feels like home, especially to my daughter--which is good because we are there A LOT!
Frequently Asked Questions About Best Foot Forward Dance Studio
How much is the registration fee?
A registration fee of $35 is required for all students, including those previously enrolled. If a student drops a class for any period, they must pay the registration fee upon re-enrollment. We offer a discount for siblings.
Can i keep my status if i drop a class?
Students who drop a class will lose their status and need to re-enroll in a similar class. To maintain technique status after participating in an outside activity, enrollment in a comparable class is necessary.
How can i pay for classes?
We accept cash, check, and credit card payments at our front desk. We take Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Please note that returned checks will incur a $20 service charge.
What type of dance floor is used in the studio?
Our studio features a professional 'floating floor' system. It consists of over 700 high-density foam blocks beneath a Marley vinyl composite surface imported from England. This design absorbs shock, reduces injury risk, and minimizes fatigue. Due to the cost, few studios use such advanced flooring.
What are the class sizes?
We maintain small class sizes to ensure personalized attention and effective learning. Classes for ages 6 and up are limited to 10 students, while our preschool and kindergarten classes (ages 2.5 - 5) are capped at 6 students. This approach helps us focus on fundamentals and maintain control over each class and individual student.
Can i speak with someone now?
Unlike traditional studios where instructors handle both teaching and administrative duties, we have dedicated office staff available during all regular class times. This ensures immediate assistance for any inquiries or concerns you may have.
What should i wear to class?
Dress requirements vary by dance style, but all students should bring appropriate dance shoes and wear cover-ups to and from class. Oversized clothing and denim are not permitted. Hair should be styled away from the face, and dance shoes should not be worn outside. Specific attire for ballet, tap, jazz, combo classes, and acro classes is detailed in our dress code guidelines.
