I've had my 2021 Ranger 621 FS Cup serviced here twice. Prior to coming in for my most recent service, I asked to have them plug into the ECM on the Mercury 15hp Pro Kicker to verify the hours for a 300 hour service. BTW - they are supposed to be a Mercury authorized service center. When I picked the boat up I asked how many hours on the kicker? They told me, "we don't know, our tech doesn't have the right adapter to plug in." Any of you knowledgable Mercury owners know what a huge problem that is; and yet, the 300 hour service was performed without verification. This is my 3rd highend Ranger and 5th boat equipped with Mercury's. This service center thinks their customers are stupid, when alot of us actually might know more about these boats than they do. We know what is supposed to happen with these services- our warranties depend on it. They didn't do it! I wonder what Mercury has to say about this??? Next I had them order a $3.40 1/10 ounce surge brake cap and was charged $50 to direct ship. Never recieved the part because of a shipping address mistake. It has taken 8 weeks of hassles to finally get a promise to refund my money. I haven't recieved it yet, but they say it's coming. I finally contacted Ranger directly and they sent the part in less than a week and charged me a few dollars to ship, not the $50 the service center tried to steal from me.
During my first sevice the sevice tech loosened the side scan transducer and folded it up tight to the hull. There was no reason to even touch the transducer in the first place. When I asked why they did that, their response, "i don't know." I don't know either, maybe they thought it was funny. What I do know is what is involved in setting a side scan transducer properly. To establish a level plane measurement in calm water that then is mirrored on land to set the appropriate attitude of the transducer is a meticulous time consuming ordeal. And thanks to Cabelas service center, I got to do it twice.
I think what's worse is the manager of the boat center nearly started yelling and addressed me in the most condescending, rude, arrogant manner I've ever experienced. I had to get the GM of the LaVista store involved to get some resolution. He offered me a $25.00 gift card for my troubles. With the caveat that I come into the store and get it. This is a joke!
I think they said it best when they said, "we don't know," because they don't. They don't know about your boats, they don't care about your warranties, they don't have the expertise or equipment to service Mercury, they aren't conerned about what they charge, and they really don't care.

needed to see if the sales folks in the trolling motors could hook up my foot peddle and see if I had the same issue there as I did with mine, nope no floor models powered up, you would think they would so a prospective customer could see how it operated. Next I went to the TRACKER folks needed a drain plug, NOPE only had a detail person and he couldn't operate the computer to look up the part, and for being a BASS PRO shop that sells BASS BOATS you would think they would have someone that could fix trolling motors if needed, nope closest one is out west Omaha 30 + miles out. I got my boat in 08' and the service is the same now as it was back then.

Great store if you want to be harassed by travel people who chase you around the store until you leave. Really appreciate the adults in the family telling her no, but her feeding my kids travel information as a tactic to try to guilt parents into a time share.

Schedule my boat to go in and have a trolling motor replaced. Set appointment for Wednesday . Dropped the boat off on Tuesday morning.
Call Friday afternoon to see if the boat was ready.
NOPE
I live over 100 miles away.
