While this facility may offer good daycare services, I do not recommend boarding your dog here.
During our pet’s 3-night stay, the video cameras were down the entire time, which left us without any visibility or peace of mind. When we picked up our small Maltese, it was immediately clear she had not eaten her food and appeared extremely distressed — as though she had spent most of the time confined and alone.
She showed no signs of having been calmed, comforted, or cared for properly. We’re currently trying to console her, and it’s heartbreaking to see her like this. To add they gave us no report , or anything of her status when we picked her up during the 3 days.
Frequently Asked Questions About Bark Avenue Pet House
How do I enroll My dog in daycare?
In order to sign new dogs up for daycare or boarding, simply fill out our enrollment form. Once we receive your form, we will send you a confirmation email with information on how to get started. Please note that we also require a copy of every dog's town license. We look forward to having your pet at our dog daycare!
What vet records do you require?
We require up to date records of your dog's Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations along with a NEGATIVE fecal exam result from within the past year. For cats we require up to dates Rabies.
How old does my dog have to be to come play?
Puppies must be at least 8 weeks of age to join our program.
Can I come and see the facility?
Yes, we welcome you to come and tour the facility via the security cameras located in our main office. Please call our office to arrange a tour in advance. Please leave your dog at home during your tour. They will not be allowed in the facility.
Do you offer second-dog discounts?
No, we do not offer discounts for any additional dogs from the same family, as we are a resort-style facility, providing all-day supervision and structured play to each and every individual dog, rather than isolating siblings from the group. Every dog will be able to enjoy the same experience while under our care.
Do the dogs really sleep through the night?
At night, Bark Avenue transforms into a peaceful oasis designed for rest and relaxation. We have soft beds and ambient music playing throughout the building. Some dogs may not want playtime to be over when the lights go out, so these dogs will be placed in kennels overnight for their safety.
Can I bring raw/refrigerated food?
You may bring any type of refrigerated or frozen food for your pets stay. We have refrigerators and freezers for storage.
Can I pack treats for my pet's stay?
If your dog is boarding, you may include treats in your pet's individually packaged meals. Treats that are not included in the bagged meals will not be given.
Are personal items allowed in the play pens?
For everyone's safety, NO personal items such as toys or bedding are allowed into the facility.
