Awesome staff awesome Maintenance they are on time very knowledgeable. You never have to wait and they don’t put a Band-Aid on repair like other apartments. They keep the community very clean and they are very respectful. I recommend this 10 out of 10.

Living at Ballantrae Apartments has been a really positive experience. The community is quiet, well kept, and feels safe. The staff are professional and helpful whenever something comes up, and maintenance requests are handled quickly. The amenities are clean and convenient, and the location makes it easy to get to everything I need. Overall, a comfortable place to call home.

Maintenance is nice, office staff is friendly, apartment is spectacular. However, the valet trash is pretty bad … Horrendous. They’ve left neighbors trash sitting for weeks at a time. Sometimes they even skip a scheduled day. Otherwise, it’s my favorite apartment yet.

I stayed at this complex for almost 5 years. I would say that the experience may depend on the lifestyle of the tenant. I will say my story but this may or may not apply to you. Overall, the staff are good people, there is just a bit of lack of experience. ultimately, remember this is a business and the organization will sacrifice spending money on experienced people or new appliance at the expense of the tenants inconvenience. The pros: 1. Very quiet. 2. Very clean. 3. Very courteous staff. Very prompt responses to maintenance calls or emails to the office Time for the Cons: 1. Trash service has been terrible for us. There is one trash man that goes around the entire neighborhood collecting the trash. Typically in the entire nearly 5 years, they do it late at night resulting in the trash bin staying outside over the night. If your trash bin stays outside in the morning, you will get a notice of a fine for leaving the trash outside. The trash man also misses the trash at times. The last annoying item is that there is no trash service on the busiest days of the week, the ones where you are spending time with the family the most. No Friday or Saturday. Even though the trash man puts all the trash into the same compactor. This has never made any sense to me. However, if you are a student who doesn't have trash too often you may not have this problem. 2. The management staff are great individuals but they have close to none experience managing. Over the last few years, management has been changing regularly. However, one thing I have seen in common is that they are not hiring experienced managers. This resulted in a few inconveniences during our stay. One example was when they had a mandate to wear bracelets when you were in the swimming pool. This isn't a public pool, everyone in the pool has the key and if your not from Ballantrae, you cant go into a locked fence. They would send emails reminding everyone to wear bracelet and if you didn't wear it you wouldn't be allowed. Stupid mandate. One time I was on a 2 week trip which I advised them about and they decided to request entry and have contractors work in my home. I had to get the police involved in this one because I didn't want strangers around in my house when I was on a 2 week trip. They gave me a final notice because of this. They lied to the police in telling them that they gave me notice of entry when they sent an email 2 months before saying they were replacing the thermostats with no set date. 3.Ballantrae is a business. For 4 out of almost 5 years we lived there we had an extremely old AC with several calls for service over the years. The big issue is that the AC was drawing a lot of power and cost me hundreds of dollars of extra power bill. The very first night we arrived , we had to do a call for service due to the AC being down. 4. Maintenance personnel are great people. I knew all of them over the years. The only issue is that Ballantrae needs to manage maintenance schedules better to prevent inconveniences to their tenants like the time my fire alarm started chirping at 3am due to the battery being old. There needs to be maintenance scheduled so batteries can be replaced on the alarm, thermostat and filters replaced on the ACs that have special openings and require maintenance to open.
