    Eric Young was the tech that helped us. We were scheduled for a tune-up, but it turned out that we have a leek in the system explaining ehy our a/c was struggling to keep up during hot days. Eric mentioned there were 2 options to find the leak, but both were above a grand amd even after finding the leak, depending on where it was, it may be fixable (at an additional charge). He recommended that, since the unit was 14yrs old, they could find/fix the leak for a few thousand $s, and the unit will likely run for another 4-6yrs, or, purchase a new unit that's more efficient and energy efficient. We're still outweighing our options at this time, but we're very pleased with Eric's thorough check and options. He could've called it a day after mentioning the options to find/fix the leak and schedule an appt with a sales person, he went above and beyond what his initial task was.

    Honestly, I had a phone meeting scheduled with someone on 9/10/25. That person was going to call between 11:30-12:30. No call. I called your office around 1:30. The system message I received was that your office was closed for the day. Traci called me on 9/11/25 while I was out. I called her back & left a message. Early afternoon on 9/12/25 I called your office as Traci didn’t return my call. They immediately switched me to her. I spoke to her, she advised me to turn the unit off & then the breaker. She told me in 5 minutes to turn the breaker back on & then the unit. She would call me back in an hour. She did. The unit wasn’t connecting. She set up a tech visit for 9/29/25. She assured me that the unit was working, it was the Solar Edge app that wasn’t communicating. From 9/10/25 - 9/29/25, sure is a long time to wait for tech service. A missed phone appointment & not returning a call isn’t service either.

    I purchased solar years ago without trouble or issue until recently. I have a bill that is six times what it normally is and the light isn’t on like it always is. When I called I was told there is t anything wrong in there end and when I asked for further assistance I was told I would need to wait three business days just for a support call. I’ve also recently installed a new unit on a second home and it was a nightmare. It seems Baker has gotten too big for their britches and the small family business with fantastic customer service has gone with it.

    When I was searching for vendors for an air conditioner for my 28 year old home, I was impressed with Baker’s reviews and saw a promotion encouraging me to call for an estimate. I’ve also received recommendations for baker from a friend. I had a price in my mind I wanted it to be and a price I was afraid it was going to be; and it came right down to the middle. I’m very happy I said yes to their proposal, and was given a brand name, high quality system that’s just right for my home (slim, quiet!). The amount of work the installers have to do to get the system just right blew my mind. I’m now sitting in my bedroom at a comfortable 72 degrees instead of trying to optimize my fans to remove a summers worth of heat. I don’t feel a sense of dread when I look at the forecast now. Thank you, Baker! Looking forward to a continued business relationship for any future service needs.

    My A/C is no longer working efficiently and is now requiring an annual recharge of refrigerant so I called a couple of companies for a few AC installation quotes and I was so lucky to have had the opportunity to work with Tech consultant, Alex Hall. He was timely, responsive, pleasant and very professional and knowledgeable. He did a thorough assessment of my home’s energy needs and load calculation, took pictures and documented his findings. After a full inspection wrote up a thorough estimate for me! He did not try to upsell he did not offer me any extra unnecessary services. It was such an amazing experience and I feel very compelled to write this review. I also had other companies that have many 5-star reviews found on Yelp come through but so far none as thorough as Alex! Kudos to Baker Home Energy for employing such a professional, knowledgeable and honest person. I will be reviewing all my quotes and most definitely take this experience into consideration in making my final decision. Thank you Alex!
