    I’ve had Badou at The Taste of Chicago both this year and last. Their food is amazing! However, know their restaurant IS NOT OPEN as of Oct 2025. I didn’t realize and ordered online today, but once got there, saw they’re closed. Called the # from Google and the Owner so graciously helped me get a refund!

    They had a stand at the Old Town Art Festival, so I haven't made it to the restaurant yet. The food was incredible! I had a chicken platter that had jerk chicken thighs, rice, carrots, and cabbage and a side of the veggie potato pastels. The chicken was moist and well seasoned. The rice was so good and the carrots and cabbage gave a sweet and sour mix. The pastels were potatoes with extra spices and also really good. Definitely will try more!

    Badou is the man! A group of us are planning a trip to Senegal in the fall and wanted to experience the cuisine before we went. Badou recommended an entire course for us, a mixed group of vegetarians and non-vegetarians. All the food was fantastic. We come to find out that he wasn't even planning on being open tonight, and he was so happy to make the food for us that he opened. Excellent food, excellent service. Would highly recommend.
