Wow. Hands down one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The barbacoa tacos were on another level—smoky, tender, and packed with flavor. I’m usually very picky, but these were flawless.
I also tried the shrimp in chile guajillo and the fried cod with rice and beans, and both were just as impressive. To top it off, the cucumber margarita was incredible—fresh, crisp, and perfectly balanced (not too sweet, not too sour, no syrup—just real ingredients).
Everything tasted homemade and truly authentic, like real heart went into every dish. Aztec Dave’s is the heart of Humboldt Park, and if you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out.
