I am currently attending AIM in Duluth Georgia to earn my A&P license, but my experience has been extremely disappointing. The labs and tools are outdated and in disrepair, making it hard to get proper hands-on training. The schedule is constantly changing, breaks are cut short, and the school rarely acknowledges students who perform at a high level. The facilities are also poorly maintained — there have even been roaches in the ceiling.
Honestly, it feels like the school is more focused on taking students’ GI Bill money than actually providing quality education. If you’re considering AIM, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere. I don’t feel like I’m getting the education I worked hard to earn, and it’s been frustrating and discouraging.
All of this being said, I am a seriously determined student and navy veteran who will get my A&P license no matter what I have to do. I am one of the highest performing students at this school. Do your research before deciding if this school is right for you.
One more thing, notice how they can’t even publish the operating hours online for prospective students to see on Google. MAJOR RED FLAG!
My experience at the Aviation Institute of Maintenance Duluth campus has been very disappointing. The school advertises strong training and career opportunities, but the reality is far different. The administration higher ups make changes on a whim and tell staff the day of the same time to implement with the student body leaving the instructors stranded trying to break down the new school formatting. Communication is poor with the registrar and front desk personnel, and students don’t get the support they need to succeed. Many instructors try their best and truly want the best for their students, but overall the program feels outdated, and more focused on collecting tuition than truly preparing students for the aviation industry. Job placement assistance is minimal for evening shift students and much of what was promised in recruiting never matched the actual experience. I would not recommend AIM to anyone seriously looking for a solid foundation in aviation maintenance

Attending school here is a fantastic experience! My instructors are all brilliant, boasting impressive backgrounds as either veterans or highly experienced aviation technicians. I genuinely wish that every school in the Atlanta system had an educator like Derrick Hart. His ability to weave life lessons with technical experience makes learning enjoyable and incredibly relevant! If you're searching for a career that can truly transform your outlook on life, consider aviation. It will significantly enhance your understanding of mechanics, engineering, science, physics, and countless other subjects. Mr.Murawski is Also an Awesome teacher who is a No Nonesense individual who teaches us the correct information on how aviation is going to be. He is Tough But fair and gives great guidance on what it takes to remember and learn the aviation technology.
