- JJJDOct 9, 20251.0After receiving an underbody coating service that cost over $1,000, I was clearly informed at the time that I could return in a year for a complimentary rust inspection as part of that service. Upon returning a year later for the inspection, my vehicle made a loud scratching or clanking noise as it entered the service bay. An employee nearby commented, “that didn’t sound good,” but made no effort to investigate or follow up, which left me concerned and disappointed by the lack of attention or care. Following the inspection, I was surprised to be charged for the service. I explained that I had been told it would be complimentary, as part of the original undercoating. Instead of taking the time to understand the situation, the response was a flat “we’ve never done that,” with no willingness to discuss or clarify the apparent miscommunication. While the service itself may be merely adequate with industry standards, I did not feel valued as a customer at any point during this visit. The overall experience gave me the impression that customer care is not a priority, which is unfortunate given the investment I made in their services.

Gotten some comments on the work from my mechanic when I get the tires rotated on what a great job they did too. I will be back in November for the recommended touch up.

I decided to invest in the undercoat protection service from APS. I also asked them to re do the front tints. Throughout the process, they were very professional. It’s my first time up north using this kind of service, so I can’t speak for the price, but I think you do pay for the professionalism and customer service that comes with it. Also, there’s a capital bike rack right next to the shop, so it’s very convenient for out-of-towners to drop it and go to the metro that’s only a mile away.
