Audubon Animal Medical Center is proud to serve the Louisville KY area for everything pet related. Audubon Animal Hospital has been caring for cherished pets in the Louisville area for more than 60 years. The original hospital was opened in 1959 on Crittenden Drive by Dr. James R. Grace (known by his long-term clients as Dr. Bob). Dr. Bob grew up in the Schnitzelberg-area, attended St. Xavier High School, University of Louisville, and University of Kentucky, and received his Veterinary degree from Auburn University. He wanted to work in the neighborhood he grew up in, and that is where the practice began.

The entire team with Audobon Animal Hospital is amazing! They genuinely care for their patients, AND the feelings of the people. Dr. Dawson is amazing! She spent ample time explaining how my dog “Bodie” did in surgery. The value of this hospital is off the chart. My wife and I will only use Cherokee Animal Clinic, and Audobon Animal Hospital!

I found a lost dog not too long ago, I took it to the nearest vet to read its microchip. I called prior and explained what is going on, at every other vet I’ve done this with has been extremely helpful and grateful someone cares to get the dog home. I arrive and am met with a woman who is at the front desk and looks at me like I’m crazy when I explain the situation. She asks me to bring the dog inside, I explained he wasn’t contained and I needed a leash. She rolled her eyes and grabbed me a slip lead. I went and got the dog, she read his microchip. At this point, previous vets would look up the owners information. She provided me the chip number and I asked her to look it up. She said no, and that I could call HomeAgain. I was furious, but was more worried about the dog being okay. I called, and shocker, only a vet can get that information! Overall, they were extremely unhelpful and made me feel like a nuisance for wanting to help a dog get home. I would never go here again, they obviously do not care about the wellbeing of ALL animals. Just the ones who are paying.
